Once again, Ms. Locke comes through for me….
I am a guy who has just found this genre of books to read in my spare time. I truly like the subject matter and the development of the story’s characters. This is the third book that I have read of yours and it won’t be the last one. Thank you for sharing. I also spent some of my life in a small town located in the northwest corner of Washington State . Maybe that’s why I can relate so well with the folks at Dogwood Lane??

Great addition to this series!
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review**I love Adriana Locke's books and I was really looking forward to the second installment of her Dogwood Lane series.Hayley Raynor has been back in Dogwood Lane for several years after coming back to care for her cousin Dane's daughter. She loves her job at the library, but due to funding cuts, it's possible that she's going to lose her job and she's at loose ends as to what she'll do next. Hayley is also one of those romantics that believes in love and finding that one true love, however she's not sure she'll ever find it due to the fact she's had zero luck lately in that department.Trevor Kelly works for his family business and while he is normally the one that is always in the office due to his role in finance, he's been sent to Dogwood Lane to oversee the finishing touches on his father and stepmother's new home they are building there. Trevor is the opposite of Hayley, where he doesn't believe in love due to the fact he's seen it fall apart more than be a wonderful thing. When Hayley encounters Trevor at the Dogwood Cafe, where she's visiting with her good friend Claire that works there, the sparks between them are obvious and instantaneous. With their vastly different views on love, coupled with the fact that he he is in town short term and lives four hours away, it doesn't seem a relationship would be in the cards for them. You know what they say about best laid plans though. Hayley and Trevor embark upon a romantic journey that leads them where neither one of them ever expected. This is a duo that you are rooting for from the start and you just hope they are able to find a way to make it all work out. This is a fantastic addition to this wonderful series. I would recommend that you read Tumble, the first book in the series prior to picking up this one, so you have a bit more familiarity with some of the characters. I so enjoyed this book and I look forward to our next journey back to Dogwood Lane!

Absolutely Freaking Awesome!
Tangle is the 2nd installment in the Dogwood Lane series. It's a stand alone Contemp-Romance with a small town trope. This book is FREAKING AWESOME! You will not be able to turn the pages fast enough, the witty banter will have you laughing out loud! The book deserves more than 5 stars, I never wanted the story to end...Haley Raynor is a die hard romantic and falls in love way to easily and that's why she has a bet going with her cousin, Dane, to be on a relationship hiatus. But she can't and won't give up her doughnuts. That's why she is in the cafe begging her bestie to give her the last doughnut after the rough morning she's had. But instead a handsome, blue-eyed stranger already has "dibs" on it and she'd like to call "dibs" on him. But due to the bet and her new found self control she resists temptation. Until she keeps running into him all over Dogwood Lane.Trevor Kelly doesn’t believe in love. Women fall at his feet and he ends up always being the bad guy. There is something about Haley and her smart mouth that makes him enjoy spending time with her. Trevor will only be in town for a week, having a fling couldn't hurt that much, can it?Trevor and Haley come up with a "No Falling In Love" contract written on a napkin. And all they have to do is follow the rules and resist the chemistry burning between them. Can they resist the temptation of getting all Tangled up?

beautifully written
I really enjoyed this read!! Not only are the characters charismatic and charming, but the whole story in general was too! Locke does a fab job at developing the characters so you understand their personality and beliefs. The ending was amazing too, highly recommend :)

Trevor Forever
I recently read the first book of the Dogwood Lane series and I was hooked. Adriana Locke has a way of drawing the reader into her quaint little town and making you never want to leave. Tangle keeps that small town mystique going. Haley was introduced as the nanny/cousin in Tumble. She is a hopeless romantic, in love with the idea of being in love. Each man she dates she swears she is in love with. After her last heartbreak she makes a bet with her cousin: six months of not dating and just working to live her best life. Fate however had other plans.Enter: Trevor, a man who despises the idea of love because of an experience when he was younger. When the two meet there is instant chemistry, but she's on hiatus and he knows she's not one-night stand material. For the brief time he is in town overseeing the finishing touches on his father's new wife's home, he is intrigued by Haley and runs into her "by chance" every chance he gets. What follows is an engaging battle of wills to not fall in love when the pull is so strong they can both feel it. How do a hopeless romantic and a man cynical of love ever make a relationship work?Ms. Locke forges her characters to be realistic and flawed. Trevor is far from perfect, a fact which he knows and continues to point out. But when he brings his A-game he is amazing. The story has lots of great things going for it: humor, family, friends, loyalty, great characters and banter, and above all else love and passion. I'm heading to read Ms. Locke's backlist because I'm not sure how else to pass the time until the next book in the Dogwood Lane series comes out.

A solid, well written romance
For me this was a good and enjoyable read, it just didn't wow me. Perhaps that's partly because I'm used to this author totally capturing my heart and soul with her characters, whilst rending my emotions. This is still a much better read than many contemporary romances!I liked Haley, I liked Trevor but the pace was just a little too slow, at 38% I was chomping at the bit for something to happen. There were times in the first third(ish) of the book where sadly I just felt a little bored. That sounds quite negative and it isn't. Tangle is a well written romance, it has a really interesting plot and nicely rounded, believable and likeable characters. I just didn't connect in the way I normally do with an Adriana Locke book, and it was probably as much me as anything else.Things really did pick up later in the book and the emotion - oh the emotion! You feel every desperate and despairing moment, every heartache, every moment of confusion and longing. No-one writes feelings quite like Ms Locke does.Whilst this perhaps will never be one of my most favourite books by this author it is still a book I am happy to recommend. Haley and Trevor are a wonderful couple, who are perfectly matched, despite seemingly being totally unsuitable.

4.25⭐ A great read
Tangle was a great read, and I loved Haley but Trevor was another matter. Don't get me wrong, I liked him and all the banter and charm. And their story was great. But at times boy did I want to kick him in the nuts!!Yet, there are so many things to enjoy in this story and series including great characters. And there is such a charm and entertaining feel to it that I couldn't help but be drawn in. But honestly, it didn't enthrall me as much as Neely and Dane's story did.But saying that there was plenty of laughs, banter and a little heat. And frustrations over characters aside, it was extremely enjoyable to read, and I'm certainly looking forward to reading more from this series and these characters in the future.I would happily recommend.

A lovely romance equally as good as the proceeding titles and makes you want to continue the series!
This book is simply a lovely romance, it's simplicity makes it not just an easy read but a lovely experience, its predictable but not in a disappointing way but in a way that comforts you and makes you cheer when the story reaches the conclusion. Well recommended

Didn't hold my interest.
Nothing really wrong with the story but the plot didn't hold my interest. I found myself not being bothered about neither main character and I was kind of bored.
