For the money it is pretty decent. The wires are a bit stiff and when you try to split them, they dont split cleanly. So you got one side that is exposed down where you separated the two from

I use this 8 gauge speaker wire for connecting my solar panels on the roof to the charge controller. It has many strands and is well suited for 12 or 24 volt DC use. The black and red insulation is a little thinner than the GS Power brand, but it doesn't seem to matter, and that brand only comes in 50 foot lengths. The GS wire is a little cheaper, at .43/ft. (versus Audiopipe - .60/ft).

Very thick and great wire but this is CCA wire, not OFC pure copper. You can test it by burning the wire. Pure copper melts and when you burn this wire it instantly burns off the copper and leaves the aluminum strands. It’s good wire but not pure. The people who answered the questions saying it is pure are wrong.

Using it for my 12 volt electrical system for solar and wind turbine. Two color helps keep Positive and Negative from getting confused.
