Solar Power Swimming Pool Thermometer Floating Max Min Water Temperature Thermometer for Hot Tub Jacuzzi Spa

Summary: I bought 2 and both leaked in 2 weeks. Also, not as convenient as I wanted. You have to reach down, pull it up, press the on button, then turn it off before you put it back.I ended up returning both of these and getting the "GAME 14030-BB Solar Digital" with solar power, and always-on temp display on front & back, in big easy to see display, so I could just look over at it to see the temp, didn't have to get out of my chair. This one requires some effort on your part to see a temp.To be fair, the first GAME 14030 was always 2 degrees too high, so I returned it, and tried another one, which correctly reported the temp, so I bought a 2nd for the hot tub.

Great at-a-glance view of water temp without squinting at a tiny glass thermometer. Display fades with reduced light level, of course, but no batteries to replace, which is a plus. Temp readout appeared to be a few degrees off from glass thermo, but didn't know which was more accurate. Farewell Summer 2019. :)

Worked good at first then by day three it had water in it and stopped working. Why would a water thermometer get water in it? Makes no sense. I then left it in the sun to dry out and it worked only for a few minutes. I checked the battery and it is good, but since it now has no display, I'm returning it.

Dropped it into the pool. Tied it off to side with supplied twine. Seems to work beautifully! Haven't checked it's accuracy, but it seems to be within the ballpark. It died after being in the pool for 6 months. Walked out one day to check temp and display was blank. Made sure it had been in the sun to have power & the power was on, but would not work. Had hoped it would have lasted for a couple of years, but 6 months is terrible!

Mine arrived with a dead backup battery. It still works as a solar thermometer, but if when the light fades, the display goes back to celsius when it powers back up. I purchased this to replace another solar unit that finally gave up after 10 years of maintenance-free use and will keep looking for one that doesn't require battery changes or button presses to operate. It reads about 2 degrees below two other thermometers I have as well.

This thermometer works fine. My only complaint is that it is not weighted enough to keep it from sliding over on its side. This is easily fixed but ... I shouldn't have had to ...

I find it to be accurate enough for my needs and easy to use and view. Just wish it had bluetooth connectivity so I would not have to walk to the pool. :^)=)

Bought this to replace a like item that lasted over 2 years. This unit stopped working. I replaced the battery, which brought it back to life as long as the sun was shinning. Shutdown and reset every night. I could live with this, but now there is water between the display and case. It is only a matter of time before the unit stops working completely.

Not very good at all it says 73 degrees but no way its 73 degrees in my pool plus thing not given you the right temperature so false reading so dont buy this product plus the thing shut off and would not come bk on so had to take battery out and put it bk in then it came bk on so it must be faulty item cost me £9.75 not worth the money

Worked really well for 2 days. Had to get a replacement
