Trimax THP3XL - Trailer Door Lock (3 Pack Keyed Alike) - Shackleless Puck Lock for Trailers, Universal Fit, Weather Resistant

Great option for a puck lock. I purchased a three pack of these Trimax THP XL locks and they seem like they are up for the task. I wanted something that was a bit heavier duty than the simple key pad locks (see picture) that I had on my enclosed trailer. So far, they have worked out great. These are chromed solid steel, weighing in at 2.21 lbs. each and have brass keys, barrels, and pins. They have a slightly deeper and wider pocket than other puck locks (XL) and fit trailer door lock hasps, as well as hitch locks and a few other applications. They are not weather proof (no keyed lock actually is) but if you lube them up on occasion, you will have no problems using them year-round. I think of these as a great theft deterrent and have been happy with these when compared to other alternatives. As you can see in the pictures, there is no quick and easy way to remove these compared to pad locks. Sure, you can find videos demonstrating that these locks can be defeated, whether by expert lock picker, a drill in the right place, cutting torch, large caliber sniper rifles, excavators, and so on. Again, when compared to other options these are easy to use, they look nice, they don't flop around and chip my trailer paint, and keep my cargo relatively safe. After a few months use, I am totally satisfied and would recommend them.

Purchased the Trimax THP3XL Hockey Puck Keyed Alike Internal Shackle Trailer Door Lock (Pack of 3) to secure the enclosed cargo trailer we use to transport our motorcycles. The price point seemed to be good after reading all of the product reviews and the questions and answers section.We are not expert locksmiths so can’t attest to the locks ability to resist “picking”, “raking” or other methods of defeating the lock mechanism. Our goal for these locks is to keep the honest people honest. Will admit that if we threw one of the hockey puck locks at a thief, and hit them, they would know it! These locks get the Blue Ribbon for heft!The locks arrived in the standard factory packing (as shown on web page) with no signs of damage. All three of the locks are keyed alike and there are three keys per lock for a total of nine keys in the package.PROS• Hefty, solid, nicely finished puck assembly.• Internal shackle design totally encloses the locks 3/8 inch diameter locking pin.• Shackle design fits our standard trailer hasp with no modifications required.• Locks mount over the trailer hasp which prevents locks from banging and damaging the side of the trailer. Picture shows top view of lock mounted on hasp to show how close the lock is to side of trailer. This could vary depending on your application.CONS• One of the locks appears to already have some corrosion down in the lock barrel that slides in to secure the locking assembly (see pictures). The other two locks are spotless with no corrosion of any type noted. This is right out of the box! Time will tell if this becomes an issue. There are several reviews that report corrosion issues. I have these on a car trailer and feel they are the best locks for the job

Seem good quality due to weight. Did rust on cargo trailer latches in weather. Plan to have to use WD40: probably with all locks in weather though. A little tricky getting keys to lock at times.

I was extremely pleased with the Hockey-Puck Shackle Trailer Door Locks. They are very heavy duty and fit my standard cargo trailer doors perfectly. I couldn't see any way for them to be defeated without extreme effort, but I suppose they could be picked? However, the downward facing key holes would seem to make that much harder as well. The locks came with 3 keys for each lock in the set (all matching) which was great as there would be no way for me to get in my trailer if I lost them. Bottom line the locks gave me real peace of mind about leaving harley locked in my trailer in hotel parking lots at night. Securing the trailer to the vehicle was another story.

These are some excellent locks. They do get a bit rusty on the inner workings so keep them lightly greased or lube spray. I use these on my enclosed trailer. I've seen others use the plain padlocks on enclosed trailers and thought why even bother? A simple bolt cutter and the thief is in. These hockey puck locks fit right onto the latches and there is nothing to cut with bolt cutters. At least the thief will have to work harder. The locks are heavy, keys work well and have never had an issue, other than the time way up north doing work and it was below zero. At that point it wasn't the locks problem but Mother Nature having fun. I would buy these again and recommend them to friends with trailers.

These locks are heavy and look like a quality product. Shipping box was sealed and in good condition. When I opened the shipping box, the product package had been tampered. One of the three total locks was missing and one set of keys was also missing. I returned the whole mess without opening what was left of it. Hope I get my money back! I did not ask for a replacement because other customers had also reported problems with this supplier. I reported as "Product damaged, shipping box okay." IMO, this looks like a theft prior to shipping from Amazon.Update: My refund was issued without problem. Thanks Amazon.

Had 2 on cargo trailer and needed to buy 3. Delivered in one day, fits the same as the other one we had.Keys are not the same # and therefore the new keys don't open my older lock.Tip is to spray them with WD40 to make sure the locks don't rust.

Not all locks are created equally and these are not the most secure available. But they're very sturdy (they weigh a lot and seem very tough). The locks are middle of the road. I may upgrade to a more secure lock at some point (like an alloy) but for now these do the trick and I'm very happy with the value for money. A very similar set from the locksmith was going to cost me twice as much (keyed alike as well).

Excellent locks .. had to spray then with some Moovit spray .. actually started to rust a bit inside after a rain storm but otherwise great

Locks work perfectly, they are very heavy, solid, sturdy - seem to be doing ok in light rain. They were exactly as described and on sale, so far I feel like it was a pretty good deal 👍
