ALL you need for 7+ days abroad! Truly!
Greetings!I just returned from a 8 day trip across Europe ... started in Amsterdam, then hit some Christmas markets in Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, then finished in Alsace wine country, France. This hard sided luggage and a "personal item" duffel bag were all that I took ... this was my first experience with "carry-on only" travelling and I must say, I am an immediate convert! The strategy I took was that I put all my clothing into this luggage ... oxfords, sweaters and undershirts on one side, while socks, jeans, extra pair of boots / belt and gym shorts went on the zippered side. I fit 8 days worth of bulky winter clothing into this bag, rolling smaller items and folding the shirts / sweaters. I then put all my other items, such as liquids, electronics, snacks, etc, into my "personal item" duffel bag, and basically just dumped out the duffel bag into TSA bins when going through airport security.A few tips / notes:1) This is the smallest "international" size carry-on, specifically designed to meet the requirements of even the most stingy cut rate airline. I was flying Iceland Air and had absolutely no issues at the gate, but for the record nor did people who had much larger carry-on suitcases that were definitely over the specified limitations. If you want to be 100% certain that you'll have no issues with the existential threat of "carry-on sizer bins" or overzealous gate attendants, get this bag. If you're willing to take a little risk, you can almost surely get away with using one of the larger 21", non-international hardside bags in the Maxlite 5 series below:https://www.amazon.com/Travelpro-Maxlite-Expandable-Spinner-Hardside/dp/B07H3VH88V/https://www.amazon.com/Travelpro-Maxlite-Spinner-Hardside-Luggage/dp/B07H3VT9TD/2) This bag is a "clamshell" style bag, so it splits roughly in half when open ... this is my preferred style as it is IMO the easiest to pack and access the items, but this means that you will have to have it fully open to access anything. If space is at a premium (think Tokyo hotel room or while underway an international flight), this will be a royal pain to open.3) Check in online and get your boarding pass ahead of time ... this not only skips lots of lines and saves time at airports, but you completely skip the airline agent that may ask to weigh your bag or tell you that the flight is overbooked so she needs to check your carry-on. Check in online & print or get a digital boarding pass a day ahead of departure, so pretty much all you have to do is take an Uber to the airport, breeze through security by dumping out your "personal item", then head the nearest priority pass lounge for a cocktail while you wait for your gate to be called.4) The "personal item" seems to be a total free for all ... the stated size requirements are usually tiny, but so long as the bag is soft, nobody seems to care. You can exploit this for your benefit!5) From this most recent experience, I can definitively say that "carry-on only" is truly a superior way to travel. Carry-on bags fit easily into a taxi, even 3+ multiple people traveling with similar loadout, and they are much easier to pull around airports / cobblestone streets. Airports and transport of luggage becomes much less of a draining chore, and you'll have more time and energy to actually enjoy the places that you visit. Plus, it's incredibly freeing to travel with a limited amount of "stuff" ... with each trip, I bring less and less with me, as I keep finding items to leave home next time!I don't really have any complaints about this bag ... I like that it is a hardsided bag and the quality is excellent for the money ... this is a very similar bag to the Tumi Latitude carry-on bag that my friend with too much money bought, but for literally 1/5 the price. I gave consideration to getting that bag, but ultimately there was absolutely no justifying the cost given the existence of the Travelpro Maxlite 5 hardside line.I would strongly encourage those of you on the fence to both buy a Maxlite 5 bag and to dip your toes into the elite water of carry-on only travel ... your travel life will be forever changed & improved!Happy travels!

Opens when not expected while rolling
This opens up while rolling. I’ve already lost items that fell out when this happened while walking thru airport.

Good product with significant design flaw
Strong & light, but has at least basic design flaw. The side with zipped mesh divider to hold things in place is the bottom side. So to open the case without having things fall, you must open it upside down. This is inconvenient as the bottom handle is then useless for lifting the bag into place, and any luggage tags must be moved out of the way of the zipper. Also, there are no internal or external pockets at all.

Color not as pictured...but I still LOVE it
Got this case because my husband (who’s a pilot) highly recommended this brand. I wanted something to replace my old luggage set I got in high school, but nothing plain & black (I like to KNOW it’s my luggage when I see it)...or super cheap. This thing is SUUUPER light & extremely easy to maneuver. I liked the dusty rose-gold color of the pictures...however it is NOT that color in person, it’s much more of a gold-ish lavender. It’s still beautiful & I’m keeping it! I just thought I’d post some pics to show the true color.Overall this will suit my needs just fine & im excited about the case!

Handled well so far abroad
Bought because of the tight international standards. Went to Greece and looked at the luggage limits to travel btwn islands prior to going. Was concerned because the limited luggage size seemed so small but surprisingly was able to squeeze a lot in when rolled tight, more than expected. No probs as a carry on between the islands. Fit maybe 7-8 outfits? (Some mix and match to rewear pants too) Plus undergarments and some toiletries.

LUGGAGE LOCKED!
Upon receipt, I could not open the luggage because it was locked and the "factory default" code of 0-0-0 was not working. What a hassle!

Zipper Pull tab broke
Looks nice but the first time we used it, the zipper pull tab broke. They appear very flimsy. So the TSA lock is useless now

Love love. But took me 20 min to figure out how to open!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I love this size. It took me 20 min to figure out how to open though. I had to look it up. When I figured it out I felt so stupid. I was looking for a key everywhere. I didn't know the key hole actually is a slide button that opens the zippers! Also make sure the code is at 000 (default). Uploaded a video on how to open your suitcase for the first time in case anyone has the same issue.

Default Code Doesn't Work, No Override Key Provided
The suitcase arrived and when I attempted to open it using the default code 0-0-0 it would not release the zipper pulls and open. Although there is a key slot next to the combination numbers, there is no key provided to open the suitcase. I contacted Amazon customer service and am awaiting a replacement suitcase. Even if the new suitcase unlocked I'll still searching the internet for an override key to avoid any future disasters.

Possibly Knock Off
Received today and returned. It felt like very flimsy and poor quality. Very cheap and this suitcase goes for $450 at the Hudson Bay...even if they inflated the price a bit at the Bay, I highly doubt you would get this suitcase and it's possibly a knock off. The shell is a cheap plastic that could break on impact...it's not worth the $140 price tag....the color was off too and purple not this pretty rose color you see in the pic.
