05-03-20 - Update, company read my review and said in exchange for positive review they would ship out a new one to me as existing one broke. I changed review but i have not recieved a replacement for the damaged unit. I could return this to amazon as its only 3 months old and get replacement that way, but in all honesty i just threw it out as i dont see replacement going any better for me. Since bought a version that plugs straight to wall and its going great, no drop outs and signal is really good, it doesnt have portability of usb power but for what i use it for my NAS drive i dont really need that extra outlet next to it, trade off from socket to strong reliable signal is a no brainer. If you need the portability you can try this one and hope it lasts longer than the unit i got, or get another type that plugs directly into the wall, i found this version this version with 4 ariels which is a much sturdier build quality and reliable ( so far ) even resets after losing power in storms so i dont have to manually reset after modem going down. Great if you are away from home on a short break.31/01/20 - Update the 5ghz channel failed, its been rebooted, set to defaults and same reaction every time 5ghz not working 2ghz works ok but it fails to deliver speed to NAS drive needed. I was pleased with it and it worked well when it was running at full speed. Now its going to the bin.Update 02/02/20 - retailer has accepted there was an unfortunate issue with the item i received, and assured me it is a very rare occasion in this matter. A new unit has been sent to me for a fair exchange and i am happy with this as the original worked well before the 5ghz chanel failure. I hope this is a rare issue and i can use as intended. Will keep you updated

I'm using this to allow a server with no WiFi to connect to my home network. Setup was straightforward and I didn't even look at the manual. Plugged it in to my laptop, selected the appropriate WiFi connection, turned off the WiFi repeater function as I don't need that, changed the setting from IP Layer Transparent to MAC Layer Transparent, rebooted and voila, I was connected. Unplugged and plugged it into my server and it's all up and running successfully.I can't speak for its long-term durability as it's been in service for all of five minutes, but so far I'm very happy with this.Edited to add: Almost a year later and it's still going very well. Very happy with this thing. It may look flimsy and unimpressive, but it's doing a great job.

I've been using this...for a long time.It is plugged into my sky mini box...to allow it to connect to the home network. It's powered by the usb of the sky mini too. This is a must if you have a non sky broadband and no cable near the mini sky box.Do not try to use the sky q wireless network...as you will find your normal wireless will degrade badly.Use this...and it makes it seem it's wired on the same network. It just works.It hasn't messed up once...

I bought this as the speed of my plugs wasn’t up to the job when watching sport in HD. This has certainly been an improvement on the plugs, but getting it setup wasn’t straight forward. I’m reasonable when it comes to tech, but really had to fiddle about to get this working as best as I could (which I think I have)

Arrived quickly but when plugged in got very warm very quickly. Wifi signal kept dropping. Returned and payed a little extra for a GL Slate. Much better.

not sure about this one it would not connect to my wireless network maybe got a faulty unit as it was making a buzzing sound but i lost faith in it

Immediate error getting past the config step. Support url gives a 404 error. no phone contacts in the uk. Avoid.
