Disc Brake Kit, 4 On 130mm, Ball Joint, Bolt On, Compatible with Dune Buggy

I had drum brakes on a old dune buggy I purchased. I completely rebuilt the brakes but remembered the days of my vintage mustang and how poor front drum brakes can be. I researched all the reviews that I could to try to find the best value for front disk brakes. After reading many reviews on amazon and other places I was not absolutely certain about this purchase but decided to give it a try.After receiving the parts seemed to be well built and of good quality. The assembly was quite easy and straight forward. I did not love that the new rotors did not have the bearing races...but with a punch the races popped out of my drums quite easily and installed in the rotors. On one side I had to shim with a washer to avoid the caliper itself from hitting the rotor...but this was a easy fix. I installed this setup and my brakes work absolutely fantastic..this setup has been nothing but great for me!!

I ordered this set for my 73 standard beetle. I’m very impressed with the quality and design of the system. I already had new bearings and grease seals to install into the rotors. The existing rubber brake hoses work just fine on this kit, no need to purchase different ones. I do love the double bleeders on the calipers, make for easy bleeding. These booted right up, bled well within about an hour worth of work.Do be careful, the car has NO abs so your front tires will lock up easily if you brake too hard.I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for more braking power. I’ve honestly never been a fan of empi, but these are awesome.

Would’ve been five star but when pressing in the race the rotor broke . Other then that , the up grade is amazing and easy to install. Just unbelievable that the rotor was that soft. Haven’t heard anything back from vendor . Project is on hold until rotor is replaced. And very frustrating

My order arrived promptly… Installation was a snap… I like so many others have second thoughts about buying something of this magnitude without having watched or installed one previously… This one was the exception… Machining and quality of the unit is exceptional… I highly recommend it for all those who want to maintain the stock level in the front end. It’s simple and does not require a front end realignment . Instructions that came with the unit are very adequate…

Perfec for my 74 beetle, easy to install, the instructions could be better
