Timberjack
This is a tough timberjack great for home use. With this aid I cut split and stacked a cord and a half of hard wood in seven hours from the trees to the stacked fire wood. If there is one issue I could address with this tool it is to reshape he claw, add a second bend giving this tool greater reach. Place this bend half way between the attachment point of the claw and the first bend. This would not increase the cost of manufacturing significantly and it would increase this tools bite exponentially. Well, today the handle bent not significantly but enough to make me cautious from now on. Sorry to have to report this seems steel is soft may have to fill handle with concrete.

SURPRISE
RARELY DOES SOMETHING GREATLY EXCEED ONE'S EXPECTATIONS. BASED ON THE REVIEWS THIS SOUNDED LIKE AN AVERAGE TO BELOW AVERAGE QUALITY TOOL. BECAUSE OF THE LARGE PRICE DIFFERENTIAL AND MY LIMITED EXPECTED USE I TOOK A RISK AND TRIED IT.SURPRISE. IT IS A VERY GOOD QUALITY TOOL. TO BEND OR BREAK ITS HANDEL ONE WOULD CLEARLY BE USING IT BEYOND REASONABLE EXPECTATIONS. YES ANY TOOL CAN BE BROKE IF IT IS REALLY TWISTED. THIS WILL CLEARLY LIVE UP TO THE AVERAGE WOOD OR STEEL HANDEL. IT WILL FULFILL MY NEEDS NICELY AND WHAT A SAVINGS.

WW Zombie Blocker! Minimum Requirement For Critical Incidents Involving Trees
If you want a tool to help block those 2-legged Zombies, then you need this Zombie Green product. For most homeowners that have trees in and around their homestead, this tool is excellent for the money, but it is not built strong enough for professional logging high intensity use. For natural critical incidents such as downed trees during tornadoes this tool will help you use leverage to muscle the downed logs/trees out the way, or to cut. Here are four tips to remember:1. Use Loctite to prevent the two piece handle from unscrewing during use;2. Use a hammer (or step on it with your body weight) to help lock the Hook device in the log;3. When the Timber Tuff TMB-45 Steel Handled Timberjack is in Log Moving Mode (e.g. NOT for use as a log jack to cut logs) you must remove the black jack part (the Holding T-Frame). To prevent losing the black T-Frame and screws and possibly to help reinforce the bottom of the unit: stuff the removed T-Frame into the existing hole at the end with the "ground end" of the T-Frame running parallel to how the logs would be hooked; apply duct tape to help keep it in place, and; reinstall the two bolt-washer-nut sets that were in the T-Frame back in the green holes. And;4. As for slowing down the 2-legged Zombies that drive vehicles, leave a few downed logs parallel in your driveway so not to block egress and ingress during normal conditions. Then use the Timber Tuff to move those downed logs to block or slow down unwanted two-legged pests in vehicles in the event of a major critical incident when 911 and cellular towers are BLOCKED by the government. The Timber Tuff TMB-45 may come in handy for post-critical incident cleanup, too. Need to remove those really stiff 2-legged Zombie Logs that you successfully stopped from invading your Shelter-In Place location? Just use the Timber Tuff TMB-45 to help facilitate their removal. After all, who wants to touch REALLY DEAD Zombies??!!Take care of yourself and take care of those whom God placed in your stewardship.Blessings,...Chappy

Nice but could be sturdier
It’s a nice tool to have that makes keeping your saw blade out of the dirt so it stay sharp longer. However, I’m stronger than it...it bent when I was using it for a semi heavy log.

Steel of a Deal
I was looking for a Timber-jack that was strong and inexpensive. Well the "Timber Tuff TMB-45" is just that. Through Amazon.com I got free delivery and no sales tax, so my only comparison was for the price. Well this jack is 100% all steel, and the welds are very heavy and strong. It claims that it can handle trees up to 12" in diameter, so I had to test it to the max. I went into the woods and looked for 50' (or longer) trees that were a full 12" and already down and was able in every case (this included pine, oak, and hickory trees) to grab and lift the tree off the ground even allowing for the "foot" to mash down into the leaf-filled ground. It did everything and actually more than I expected for $32. I had looked at several more expensive models, you know, the ones with "fiberglass" or "real oak or ash" handles (costing at least 2x) and then came across this all steel jack - why would I want to buy a fancy (and weaker) product for more money. It works great, I can only imagine that those other manufaacturers stay in business because people simply have not seen this product. I would very definitely recommend it to anyone.

Why Didn't I Buy This Sooner?
I had no idea what this was, until I read about it in a chainsaw book (also purchased at Amazon.com!). Now I am able to grab good sized trees that I have felled, and raise them up off the ground to keep my chainsaw out of the door. I am also able to move timber around on the ground using the leverage this gives me. I have needed something like this for some time, so very pleased to have one now. It is all metal, so I am not afraid of it breaking. Being a tube construction, it is also lightweight.

not strong enough
I have a truck-load of 40 foot douglas fir logs to process for commercial firewood and bought two of these jacks in order to keep two chain-saws busy at the same time. These are straight logs and small stuff (6" - 18"). The jack that I have been using is already bent a little. The metal it is made of is just not strong enough material or perhaps not large enough diameter. It comes in two sections that screw together and it will start to unscrew while in use so that you have to repeatedly tighten it. The fact that it is green instead of safety orange just shows it was not thought out to begin with. I do not recommend it.
