This is so strong I used 4 inch but could have used smaller .

My 2 labradors have waterproof coats, not for keeping them dry but to keep their underbellies clean.We live in a cottage on a farm and the whole place gets very muddy.I'm disabled and find it very difficult to clean them up after their walk. I bought these coats for them but they hung too low and served no purpose. I bought adhesive velcro but it just kept coming off and sticking to their fur.I then bought this sew on velcro and it works brilliantly.Being 2" wide makes sure it will stay fastened.
