Workable, but thin and cheap. There are better options for the money
I think these are better than those combo shrink tube solder gimmicks. Other people seem to have good luck with those but I don't. Probably because I typically solder 2 differing gauges of wire together in poor locations with poor lighting. With these, I just slide some adhesive shrink far up the wire, lightly crimp this butt connector onto a short strip wire pair, and heat the center of the connector until it is good and hot. The solder flows right into the slot and I can tell when the solder is coming out the ends off the butt. Let it cool a little, slide the shrink down over the connection and apply normal heat shrink process. More durable and water proof in the end. These other Solder Seal dealies may be fine for car audio or something, but for business, this is the method I count on.Update: I since received some other non-insulated butt connectors from 3M and Morris and Ginsco, and in comparison, these Milapeak connectors are definitely on the thin side. It is still a decent assortment and works OK if soldering because the thinner metal allows them to heat faster. That being said, if you don't plan on soldering, I suggest you look at the thicker connectors like 3M and Morris. A little more money but more substantial. For hobbyists, this is probably fine. For industrial, I'd go better. I got sucked in by the idea of an assortment, so if that's what you want, go with the Ginsco instead.

Not Impressed
I suspected that at the cost it was too good to be true. I was right.I have installed 10's of thousands of connectors in my career. The quality of these connectors is marginal at best. The material they are made of is much thinner than most connectors and because of that, they bend very easily.I used some of them otherwise, I would return the whole lot.It is likely that over 400 connectors will end up in the trash.

Too thin, not worth using at all.
Compare these (outside) vs "Ginsco" (inside). Using a Channellock 909 to crimp, I can pull these apart with minimal effort.

Wouldn't buy it again.
Thin, poor-quality connectors in odd sizes. Most made too large for this type of connector. Do you really need a weak, thin spade connector with a 5/16" opening? Only reason I won't send back is that I'm too lazy to repackage them for $12. I'll wind up using about 10% of what is in the package and that's not a very good value.

Effortlessly secure crimps every time
I used these as well as a Channellock crimping tool. I wasn't satisfied with my high dollar ratcheting crimper that was designed for use with the fancy adhesive filled insulated connectors. At least half of the time I got a poor crimp with the ratcheting tool and fancy connectors, and the other half I didn't trust it!So I got back to basics and I bought these connectors along with an old school crimping tool. I have never had a failed crimp with one yet. It looks much better than a mangled insulated connector once you shrink wrap it as well.I will be buying more!

For repairs or fabricating
An assortment of ferrule sizes for fabricating wiring connections or repairing wiring. the assorted sizes allow but joint connections to attach pigtail connectors or splice broken wires and leave a compact clean joint. The inside of the ferrule has rings to grasp wire and prevent slipping when attached. You will need a good crimping tool for a secure connnection and shrink tubing to insulate afterwards. sizes cover many of the most common wiring sizes but not the smaller guage wires. these allow a more compact joint for smaller spaces and neater repairs

Good wire butt connectors
From same Amazon vendor, I bought these wire butt connectors and heat shrink too. When installed, the heat shrinked connected wires had less bulk than the standard plastic coated butt connectors. Used to make wire extension for instrument panel of Ford truck, so can pull panel out far enough to make measurements versus panel only pulled out about 4 inches. Nice to have it come out 20 inches after extension wires added. Good quality products. Thans.

D-
Product was delivered on time and presented as described. But when you actually go to use them you realize that the metal is brittle and when using a crimping tool properly, you end up with a union that is cracked or susceptible to failure very easy. Metal needs to be softer, and compatible with the crimper tools it was made for. Thankyou
