Aku NS564 Spider Navy Seal Military Boots

Let me start off and say my shoe size is a 10 mens. I normally run a wide but have a narrow heel. Started using the original OTB boot years ago. They were great HOWEVER, these AKU's are miles better!! The construction and lace attachments are much more solid. ( OTB used nylon loops for the lace attachments, AKU was great to use leather with a nice spacing). If your looking to use these for heavy pack loads I'd go with one of their thicker soled boots but if you want to feel like your sticking to the ground and have great terrain feel, these are your boots. Only must upgrade with these (and most of my other boots is to put in some Superfeet). The factory insoles are pretty lacking, but that goes with most boots now. Completely happy with these boots and now sold on AKU.

AKU boots are the best in the business. You can put them through hell and back, multiple times over for YEARS and not even one stitch comes undone. Other boot companies should take note..

I had the Mk1 version of these I When i served in Afghan. I served for 8 years in the forces and had many different boots these by far are the best boots I have ever owed. So these Mk2 were top of my list and worth the money. When I wear these out to death I'll be buying AKU again for sure.

Purchased a size 8 was concerned about sizing although I did not need to of worried as size 8 fitted perfect.Have worn boots with Darn light weight socks, Thorlo mid weight sock, Bridgedale heavy weight sock and the fit was still good for my size 8.The boot is nice and light and as I expected could wear with no breaking in or any foot sore.I usually wear Danner Recons,Lowa Mountain,and early edition Rockports. Will purchase another pair of AKU`s,non Gortex for summer use.Thanks to everybody that took the time to give me feedback on sizing.

Great summer climbing/approach boots. Vibram soles quite hard, not spongy, so you get good feel for the ground surface. Look good for a casual walk as well. Very breathable but not water proof, which isn't a problem for me. If I had a criticism that would be the laces, the come loose all to easy and the top eyelets are loops rather than quick release hooks, as on other quality boots.

great boots, one small neg is that on tiled (smooth) floors the grip is lacking. As these have flat style soles not hiking style soles I would expect them to grip better on man made surfaces. They are an all terrain boot really and boat decks/smooth floors should be a surface they can grip too.

Nice boots, still using them, lightweight and hard soles, have widened around toe box with use . I use my Merrill moabs more, they’re like trainers , the Ali’s are more sturdy though
