I bought this filter and when I looked through it there was hardly any charcoal in the honeycombs. I can see right though it.The combs were half empty or empty. I put it side by side with my older filter (which is completely filled with charcoal)And you can see good quality compared to a bad quality product. See pics. I took pics and rotated the filters so I didn'thave to hear it was a lighting issue.

These are not the inexpensive replacements you are looking for.
I normally love aftermarket products like this as I hate paying a premium for the same thing with a brand name on it. However, this is NOT the case with these aftermarket air filters. These are cheaply made knockoffs that leak charcoal and fall apart.Now I have nasty little charcoal pebbles disintegrating all over my floor. Glad I don't have expensive carpet in this room.

this is a ripp-off of the original , it has only a 1/3 of the charcoal and not even half the filter in other words the material is week ( you can see more sunlight come through it) this is a one month replacement maybe two. the original need to replace up to 6 months with more effective filtering . it should be in the cost of less then half of $36.00

Okay, But...
Filter was not a tight fit when installed. The plastic filter frame in one part had separated from charcoal layer and was loose; had to use painter's tape to get a good air seal and tape down the loose part of this filter's framing.Would prefer a tight gasket around the edges like the OEM filters have to make a truly tight air seal without hassle.

Barely Fits
Purchased this filter since the other one I usually purchase on Amazon went up in price. It does its job but it barely fits in my purifier and I had to push it in. I double checked the model of my purifier and in fact it should have fit perfectly.

This filter fits perfectly. Will order this one again. We have 3 cockatiels birds and air filter gets cleaned every week. It helps to control bird dander.
