Color:Camera Only The Micro 2.0 features a 16MP SONY CMOS image sensor providing stunningly vibrant stills as well as sharp full HD videos with 1080p HD @ 60 frames per second or 1296 HD @ 30fps. The 130° wide angle fisheye lens allows you to get close and fit everything into the scene. Color correction filters are not necessary. Choose between four Land and Sea scene modes with three built-in underwater color corrections for diving or snorkeling, and by depth or lighting being used. You’ll never miss the shot with the fast shutter response time and one-touch video recording. The camera’s lens focuses as close as one foot (12 inches/30cm), that distance can be cut in half with an optional Macro close-up lens. Ergonomic and compact at around 4 inches wide with a large 2.4” color LCD screen, the Micro 2.0 has three “Piano Key” controls that control all the cameras essential functions, the large keys make it easy to operate with or without dive gloves. The Micro 2.0 includes two shooting modes: time lapse shooting and upside-down shooting. Time lapse shooting mode saves the footage as a video file or a series of still images based on the set time interval. The upside-down shooting mode corrects pictures and videos to an upright position when mounted upside down. The Micro 2.0’s built-in WiFi feature wirelessly connects the camera to any iOS and Android smart phone or tablet using the free SeaLife Micro Cam app, eliminating the need to travel with a laptop computer.

Wi-Fi can’t connect to a computer only to their app...
Wi-Fi only works with their app... you can’t connect a computer to download the pictures! Poor design

Love the ease of this camera!
I bought this camera for my husband for a trip to Hawaii. We used it on numerous snorkeling trips. We love the ease of setup and the ability to use it to take both photos and video underwater. The SeaLife app makes it super easy to download photos to your smartphone or tablet via wifi. Great purchase!

Good purchase, but could use a firmware update
I bought this for a diving trip in Roatan, Honduras last week, and overall I'm quite pleased. Taking pictures with the Micro 2.0 is a pleasure. I took about 1500 photos with it over the course of the week, getting to know the camera and trying different settings. It's a very capable little device, and easy to operate while diving.Taking pictures with the Micro 2.0 is a pleasure. The "piano key" interface is easy to operate under water, or really any time it isn't plugged in. It can be mildly inconvenient when plugged in to external power on land, since the power cable protrudes where you would like to have the heel of your hand. This is entirely forgivable, however, given how easy it is to operate and modify settings under water if you so desire. A few intuitive button presses gets you to the setting you want fairly quickly. With the current firmware, retrieving the photos is still a bit inconvenient. The current version of the Android application has issues on Android 6. A new version is available from tech support which addresses some of the worst issues with the Play Store version, but still doesn't give full access to the camera contents from my Nexus 6. That said, my tablet running an older version of Android provided tolerable access on the road. Currently, though, that tablet is my only functional means of getting photos off the camera.Linux users may be interested to note that although the Micro 2.0 appears to have a Busybox-based Linux OS, its storage is not accessible as a USB mass storage device. Although it does work in Windows, under Linux the USB storage interface presents a SCSI block device which cannot be mounted when plugged in to a Linux laptop or desktop. I have no idea if the mass storage interface works with Mac OS. SeaLife tech support indicates that work on this problem is ongoing. If I get a working firmware update for this problem I will update this review. It would probably become my preferred way to download photos, rather than using the WiFi interface and an Android device. The Micro 2.0 also has some odd behaviors relating to charging and power consumption. When fully charged, I was able to get four dives of shutter-bug time with juice to spare. However, downloading the pictures over WiFi drains the battery pretty badly even with the camera plugged in and set to "external power". Most unfortunately, even after the download is complete and WiFi is turned back off, it seems that the camera doesn't actually start charging the battery unless you remember to turn it off, turn it back on, and choose "charge" mode rather than "external power". That resulted in a couple mornings when I started diving with a very low battery even though the camera had been plugged in all night.

This is not a reliable camera
I have been using the SeaLife camera for a little over a year. I have taken a few hundred photos with the SeaLife camera while scuba diving on the reefs off of the Island of Bonaire. Currently the camera is dead since it cannot be charged. In the product description the camera is described as having a "water proof USB connection". The USB connection of the first camera I had failed, even though I tried to carefully use the USB connection cover. After a few months the camera would not connect properly to my Windows computer. It appears as an "unknown USB device". I sent the camera back to SeaLife. They got my photos off the camera and replaced it with a SeaLife camera that supported both USB and WiFi. The USB connection on this camera also failed.SeaLife has a WiFi app for the Android phone that allowed me to connect to the camera and download my photos. Then from the phone I could download the photos to my computer for editing. This is an awkward process. The camera would be easier if the USB connection actually worked reliably. The WiFi connection between the camera and the Android phone app is buggy and it generally took several tries to get the connection to work properly. Selecting and downloading photos is awkward and sometimes failed in the middle of downloading a large set of photos.Even with these quirks, I could have lived with the SeaLife camera. However, on my last trip to Bonaire, the camera would not fully charge. Nor would the camera work with power from USB. When I unplugged the USB and tried to get the camera to use its WiFi connection, it turned itself off. In short, the camera is dead. As I noted, this is a second camera I got from the factory and it is less than a year old.Even if the SeaLife camera were reliable and worked properly (which it doesn't), it has problems for anything but a casual underwater photographer.I got a SeaLife 1200 lumen "dragon" LED light to go with the camera. This light is OK for video, but it is not great for any photo that is not a closeup. For example, I wanted to take a photo of a coral formation from a couple of feet away. The light is not powerful enough to illuminate the subject to show true color. What is needed is a flash, but this is not an option with the SeaLife. At this point I've given up on SeaLife. I suppose that I could try sending the camera back to the factory again, but after having two cameras fail in less than a year, I don't think that they make a reliable product. And then there is the fact that there's no flash option. Rather than trying to get the SeaLife camera to work I'm going to buy a Cannon camera with an underwater housing and a flash. This is 3 to 4 times more expensive than the SeaLife camera, but this camera is not only reliable but it will allow me to take better photos.

Love this camera
Love this camera, so easy to use. I own several other SeaLife cameras and this one takes great photos and super sharp HD video underwater. Very pleased so far. Attached are some of my photos. The camera is sealed so it cannot ever leak, and the wifi app works really well.

Not worth the money
Purchased the camera last summer for a dive trip to Nassau and the camera worked ok. We used it a few times and didn’t have any real issues with it. This week we charged the camera and took it to Cozumel. The camera was dead. Charged it again and it quit charging. Had to wiggle the adaptor and stop when the little light came on. It eventually indicated full but died within 5 minutes. Same thing next 2 days. Wonderful dive trip with no photos.

great camera shame about the strap fastening
I've always bought sealife cameras and was really keen to buy this as I can finally say goodbye to underwater housingsIt's rubberized casing looks like it will stand up to the riggers of scuba diving. However the part of the camera where you fasten the strap is made from brittle plastic. Unlike my other sealife which is made from sturdy metal. Which allowed me to use a chunky strap with bcd clip. if the plastic breaks on the micro you've lost the camera!Because of this I am scoring it 4strars

Wassereinbruch beim dritten Tauchgang. Max 35m.
