Great product for me!!
I have acrylic 120 tank and I was using glass mag float for years. Well don’t do that. This acrylic mag float is best on market won’t be disappointed! No scratching acrylic, cleans better with extra scraper on it. Love this product will buy again!!

The best solution for large acrylic tanks
This is a highly effective scrubber with a strong magnet. Its also kind of fun to get around corners. I would not use a stick brush for my acrylic tank again. BE CAREFUL near the substrate. If you grab some substrate between the magnetized pad and the tank, you will score it.

How to avoid scratches
The plastic blade WILL scratch your tank--make no mistake about that.Remove the blade. Then use a rubberband to strap a Magic Eraser cut lengthwise (thin) to the inner half. Then it works.

works great
Works exactly as advertised. I have a 225 gallon acrylic tank with 1/2" thick acrylic. Does a very good job cleaning, with no visible scratching that I could see. I was even able to clean right along the sand line at the bottom of the tank, it moved some sand, but none got trapped between the acrylic and the cleaner. Very happy - would recommend for anyone.

Ouch.
Brand new, out of the box, put in my 180 gallon acrylic saltwater aquarium. First wipe across, magnet came off and floated to the top which was nice. Get it back on, give a few wipes and notice, it's scratching my tank... thats unfortunate. I couldn't recommend as the new design leaves the edges exposed on the outside handle part, not giving a full coverage. Now to get this scratch out.

Good, but they used to be great
I’ve had a grey mag float, this same size for over 20 years now - & it still works great. The one I just got is not the same quality. In the new one the magnet is weaker, the plastic shell feels much less sturdy, & the felt on the outside magnet doesn’t cover the entire surface (the grey one is losing some of its felt around the edges, but you can see from the pics where it used to cover, & still does some). We got the 2nd one because we built a custom tank with a refugium as the bottom tank. With the new mag float I need to be much more careful using it or it will release, & since the magnet isn’t as strong I’ve had to stick my hand in to the tank to get it to clip back together. Which kind of ruins the point of it floating so you don’t have to reach into the tank. As far as the felt not covering the edges on the outside magnet, we haven’t had much of an issue with it so far - some marks here & there but we have glass & so far they’ve come off easily. I imagine with acrylic it could easily scratch. If need be I figure we can buy some sticky back felt & fix it ourselves.

GROSS NO MORE!!
I pay a tank cleaner ever 6 weeks to clean my 75gal tank at work. 6 months ago a large catfish died inside a log and was not discovered until the tank was disgusting and they came back out to clean and found him.I had to buy all new tank deco and we could still not get rid of the green slime growing everywhere! Days after they cleaned, the glass would turn green again. This little tool in one take, cleaned all that off and it did not come back!!Very worth the money!! Love it!!
