interesting essays but slightly repetative
This is a collection of short pieces on sustainability from a variety of authors. Very good authors, but different authors. As might be expected, some are better than others and there is the occasional repetition of theme. My observation is that it is inevitable in such a work. The Kindle price was low enough that I took a risk. I have found it thought provoking, but not revolutionary. It has further cemented my view that sustainability is tough, frequently ill-defined and unlikely something humans will address until we are truly in the midst of a crisis.

Very informative for class! I enjoyed every minute of this book! Especially enjoyed the different types of authors for each chapter.

Mayor of Mexican city uses this book
I read this, then passed a copy to the mayor of a city of one million residents here in Mexico. He considered it to be excellent and I was told that he used it during his administration. I think that is pretty high unspoken praise.

Worldwatch is always profound.
As always the Worldwatch Institute presents a well prepared and eloquent view of reality. Would like one that compares the essence of the past books into new a really new vision.

Lots of great ideas and useful facts which appeal to the community ...
A little dry in some instances, but very timely and so, so necessary. Following on 2013's "Is Sustainability Still Possible?", this book would have us understand that, yes, sustainability is still possible, it is also crucially important and there are ways we can go about changing or modifying entrenched and legacy systems that are no longer working with the level of population currently inhabiting the planet. Lots of great ideas and useful facts which appeal to the community organizer in all of us. If we can't get this done on the national and international levels, let's get it done the other way around, working up from the grassroots. Anybody who understands the problem realizes how frightfully urgent is our need for a prompt and effective series of responses.
