Worked first time - after binning the cheaper alternative
Bought a cheap "Yamaha F40" pin wrench off ebay - the pins were slightly misaligned and gouged the cap. Ordered this from the US, the quality was clearly much better and it fitted the cap perfectly, Bit of downward pressure and a 2' breaker bar and cracked it off. Worth the extra money.

Worked perfectly
Ordered the AMT0006 originally which appeared to be the one I required for our Yamaha motor. When I checked it did not work. Contacted the seller who were fantastic and immediately sent the AMT0004 which worked (turned out we had a slightly unusual model). The seller could not have been more responsive. Great job!

Fits 2018 Yamaha 175 hp Vmax Sho tilt cylinder cap perfectly.
Had to do a little research to be sure that the tool I ordered would indeed fit correctly. Yes, it is on the expensive side, BUT it is a quality item that will get the job done without breaking. The AMT0004 38mm came with the correct pins and also spare pins should the need arise. If you use the tool correctly by keeping it flat to the cap when removing/installing you should have no issues. The AMT0006 36mm tool works for the tilt caps.

Excellent, top quality tool.
Used this wrench to repair the leaking tilt actuator on my yamaha outboard motor. This job is impossible without thi wrench. ItIt shipped and arrived promptly and is a quality tool and if damaged the pins can be replaced.

Tool works perfect, strong pins on it. Even with an extended wrench, the pins didn’t break.
