Awesome quality
To be honest here. Im kind of a knife nerd. I often see something that appeals to me and the Devil makes me buy it.. i have purchased several Eafengrow knives and have been extremely satisfied. I am an old man that lives off grid in the Alaska interior, and I give my knives a serious workout. Everything from dressing game to peeling birch bark and splitting firewood. Each and every Eafengrow I Have purchased has been impeccable in quality. Edge retention is good. All knives dull, and sharpening is a must. I find these knives to be razor sharp out of box. I truly have nothing but praise for these knives.also the sheaths are some of the best out there.I actually prefer leather because kydex and other synthetic sheaths get stiff in cold weather and knives become hard to pull from sheaths. Regardless these sheaths are top quality.

Damned Sharp And Friendly To The Hand
Like the title says. I sliced open my finger without even trying so be “very” careful! The blade is wide and effective, well balanced. My favorite of the last ten ot so I’ve purchased. I havve no idea why the ratings aren’t higher, but it deserves much better. A deadly and effective companion.

Eafengrow has quality
Arrived very sharp, no corrosion, flipper action is good. It's on tyne heavy side of flipper knives and the belt clip looks weak. Hope the clip holds up. I keep mineral oil on knives.

I Love It!
This knife is a beast...The action is pretty good & it does drop shut with a small amount of effort. The detent on mine was a bit weak but nothing that couldn't be easily fixed. The ergos are spectacular! It fits my hand like it was made for it.(L/XL glove size hand) The flipper doesn't protrude to a negative degree but given the size of the knife in general it it still a good size.It carries very well. The clip lets it sit deep and it doesn't take up much space in the pocket. You'll notice the weight more than anything. Shes a big girl but IDC... I love her.Im sure you will too. It came centered and sharp as a razor too.Its great for a sturdy edc or platform for mods. I modified mine by heat coloring the screws and dying the scales. I was gonna put a polished edge on it but its so sharp Im gonna wait till it needs it.

Good design but very low grade metal used
It is sad I seldom find folding knives that have good design, always have a weak points. This is a well design knife after I opened it up and look. It is very robust, should survive hard use even plying. Not many knives can say this. But the steel used is CHEAP. I always bend the liner lock out to put more pressure on the tank, engage it deeper. During the process, I notice the liner metal is about the softest I experience of many brands, even including the CHEAP KEMAX knives. For other knives, I had to clamp it on a vice to bend it out, this one, I can just bend it out with bare hands easily holding the frame with one hand and bend the liner lock out just like that. That's very soft metal. The second thing I do to compensate the higher pressure by the liner lock to make it easy to flip open the blade is to round out the edge of the DETENT hole on the blade so the detent ball can slip out easier. I use a round diamond bit to open and smooth the edge of the detent hole. It was so much easier to drill it out compare to ALL the other knives. That show the steel used for the blade is SOFT.Lastly, before I sharpen the blade, I always test the sharpness first. THIS IS THE FIRST KNIFE OF OVER 30 THAT IT FAILED TO SLICE PAPER. IT'S JUST NOT SHARP.It is sad the engineer designed this knife thought of all the potential weak point of a heavy duty knife, but whoever decided on material used really ruin it. It's still a sturdy knife for the price, but it's not one I would buy again. it's is very heavy also.

One of my favorite EDC knifes

Has the feel of a sheath knife
This is a substantial piece of hardware for an EDC. With the blade deployed, it has the heft and appearance of a sheath knife. The handle is textured nicely and the jimping at the base where your palm rests is a nice addition. The blade is sharp and the lockup is excellent. It really does feel like it is one solid piece. It's a little heavier than my other EDC's, but it comes out of my pocket quite easily. My only complaint (as it is with a lot of knives) is that I would like to have jimping on the handle where your thumb naturally sits. Other than that, a great knife.
