- This design is inspired by the “Rites of Spring” outfit, also called Spring Rain, designed by Kansai Yamamoto, one of the most iconic of Ziggy Stardust’s costumes from 1973. It featured a tear-away red side panel and platform shoes.
- The costume made famous by David Bowie is currently exhibited at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
