Reisport Ladies Hook and Loop Uneven Bar Grips, XX-Small

These grips work great. I recently got back into gymnastics as an adult and hadn't bought grips in over 10 years. It was tricky to determine where to measure to the bottom of my wrist, but the size medium worked well for me. I measured between a small and medium and sized up which I think was a good move. I use these about 2-3 times a week for about 30 minutes at a time and they have held up pretty well. Growing up I had buckle closure grips, and the velcro closure grips are so much easier to deal with especially when I'm not spending hours on the bars. They do get stuck to wristbands so I would suggest to be careful when putting them on and storing them.

These grips will be a god-send for my 11 y.o.'s Level 5 daughter's hands, which are severely calloused and blistered. While we were told to go ahead and order these grips a couple of months ago, her coaches decided for us to wait until my daughter has a little more upper body strength to make her kip with STRAIGHT arms. I did not want to further delay the writing of this review until my daughter gets stronger, so I am reviewing the item now. Not only is it very well-made (compared to grips my other daughter has worn), but the fit is spot-on, and the materials are high quality. Like other grips, these will need to be broken-in a little before being worn full-time, but once my daughter starts wearing these on a regular basis, we will be back to order another set from this seller, who delivered the product at a fair price with fast shipping.

These are awesome! They were my first dowel grips and they were really easy to get used to. Only thing is I have trouble doing skills where I have to rotate my wrists forward like kips and front hip circles but I think that that might be a matter of how I'm chalking them or breaking them in? I'm not sure but over all I love these grips!Edit- I still love these! Just got my second pair and no longer have any grips issues with any skills

still prepping the gribs, but great quality leather and easy to adjust . as most videos say - the finger holes are tight and may or may not need to be adjusted/cut bigger - but since it needs a tight fit for best performance and some have tiny fingers its acceptable.Great product

We bought new grips for our daughter after gymnastics season was over last year (March 2018) as we knew she would need new ones this year. She started practice one month ago, only to develop significant rips and abrasions on one hand. We investigated. At first glance, the grips appear the same. However with further inspection, the material is rougher and cut differently on one grip. She even pulled out last year's grips, three match and one is different.

We purchased these grips April 10th for my daughter who is an optional (high level) gymnast and is training skills for a level 8. Grips take time to break in and by May 10th, one month later, the small rubber dowel that is glued and sewn to the grip has come off which rendered them useless. I would love to see these grips replaced or the purchase refunded.

Gymnastics grips must be a matter of personal preference. Other types are good. My child prefers these. Not having ever done gymnastics myself, luckily I brought these to her coach before I returned them who explained the finger holes are generally too small and are meant to be widened by the wearer. They have tricks in the gym. Followed the sizing instructions and they are a perfect fit. Worth the investment if you like the fit and feel, which my daughter does.

This product is usually great and the quality is usually unmatched but, the first pair that I ordered came with one defective grip. The strap was only glued and not sewn like the other one. No big deal I thought. Amazon sent a replacement without question. Today the second set showed up and to my surprise, the exact same thing that was wrong with the first set, is wrong with the second. Very frustrated and hoping the third time is a charm and that amazon didn’t buy defective grips.

Bought these for my daughter, who is a gymnast. They came highly recommended by others. They do the job they are meant to but it’s definitely recommended to get sweat bands with them. The holes for the fingers were really tight, and I wish they came with instructions on how to adjust the holes. Luckily the coaches had some suggestions which worked.
