I can but agree with a number of your reviewers who praised Alison Moyet's great bluesy voice, and both her time with Yazoo and her subsequent solo career have produced and continue to produce high points too numerous to mention here. What I find so odd is the focus on her physical appearance as if that is a factor in her talent. Either you have a good voice or you do not. Alison Moyet clearly DOES. I can think of countless supposed artists, Madonna, Britney Spears, et al, et al, et al, who thrive on jumping about a stage mimmicking dance, and purportly singing?I can think of very few artists who can pull off "That Ole Devil Called Love", and "The First Time Ever I saw Your Face" with 80's/90's pop songs thrown in-between. Let's get beyond physical appearance here can we????

Alison Moyet proves she is a great singer in any style she chooses.I really like that this collection includes songs from her Yazoo period as I am a huge Erasure/Vince Clarke fan too. It is a very good colletion of a wide variety of songs and song types, but I think this CD could have benefited by mixing up the sequence more. Other than the first song, The First Time Ever I saw Your Face, they seem to go from oldest to most current, which generally works well, but by the time tracks 9-11 come, I sometimes end up skipping those three as they are less compelling and distinct than the rest of the songs. I think if they were mixed in between some of the other tracks, the CD would flow much better. Over all though, I really like tis CD and have played it a lot! I have become a big fan and will buy more of her CDs soon. I am looking forward to hearing some of her music that was produced after this collection.

Only place to find Alison Moyet's version of "First Time Ever I saw Your Face".The best version by far.

Alison Moyet is a British vocal phenomenon, like a female Robbie Williams or a pre-Adele Adele.She has a sexy, full-figured voice, like Adele. Her songs are well crafted and well sung, and you will not be able to get some of them out of your head.The suggestiveness of several lyrics will surprise some folks, as with Love Resurrection ("Teach me to harvest,I want you to grow in my hand"), but the four stars are real.Ms. Moyet more than delivers.

GORGEOUS Alison at her very best! the album features all her best songs and even a few that i had forgoten. A great way to hear scandalously under rated lady at her finest, especially if you're an Alison fan.

Loved it and would recomend to everybody how likes the eighties, and look forward to the other recordings of hers.

This is the best greatest hits CD for Allison Moyet fans.Brings back great memories from my early teenage years!
