MerrellMen's Chameleon 8 Stretch Hiking Shoe

I discovered merrells about 5 years ago, and now it's the only brand I'll buy. I put more miles on my shoes than most people do with their cars. The biggest thing for me is the soles, they actually last. Even when they do wear down, they still have decent grip. Also the side wall where the pinky and big toe are, I usually bust holes right there with any other brand. They're extremely comfortable. I really like the way they hug your feet, but they're not too tight. When I ordered the chameleon 8s I didn't realize they had no shoesteings till I received them. I was a little concerned about that at first, but I actually really like having the elastics pull tie set up over strings. The best part is, the more you wear them, the more comfortable they become!

Excellent shoes, comfortable, resistant, non-slip, durable, etc. Recommended, among other activities, as daily shoes, for walking in the city and the countryside.

Very comfortable shoes. I’ve been wearing them for almost 20 years. Did notice that the insoles breakdown pretty fast so you need to change those.

I do carpentry work up in Maine so to say I am rough on my foot ware is an understatement. These particulars are by far my absolute favorite I have owned as far as comfort and support goes. I gave it a 4 though because the laces break super easy and they’re super annoying to order. Mine are forever just knotted over and over until there isn’t enough to tie. I do a ton of bending of the feet so I get it to a point but these are made for hiking where also there is a considerable amount of foot bending. Thus a 4 out of 5. An almost perfect shoe.

I like them because they slip right on your foot

I had a pair of these some years back and they were my favorite hiking shoes, I heard they had been discontinued and I was disappointed.Fast forward to this year, I saw these of the same Merrell brand and the design is very close to my old pair.These shoes are so comfortable and the bungee laces make it so you can adjust the perfect snug fit around your foot without any binding, even when your feet swell from hiking.The pattern and color goes well with most outdoor attire and the only downside is that they don't last forever. I will definitely buy these shoes again, I highly recommend these shoes:)

Love Merrell. Bought a pair of Moab shoes about a year ago, they seem durable, but honestly the comfort factor just isn’t there. No support at all. These shoes however, are what I’d expect from Merrell! It’s only been a day since I got them, but SUPER comfortable. I’ve read durability is great, but obviously can’t comment on that yet. They fit like a glove, and support my feet so much that I hate going inside and having to take them off.

I always rely on Merrell And i've never come across any quality issues.

These are my third pair in the last 6 years, comfortable unfortunately my sons dog destroyed my last pair that were just under 2 years old, hence this purchase. The only recommendation I have is, that you treat these shoes with a quality water and stain repellent before wearing. I hope this helps...
