Good for pre grading Pokemon cards
I bought this to pre grade Pokemon cards before sending them off to an official grading company. The microscope is easy to set up and has a very nice screen and great quality camera. What I found most useful was the ability to connect it to my PC and view it through the “camera” app for Windows. This allowed me to do measurements in real time. The only downside was that connecting it to the PC made the hue a little yellow, although I think that could be an issue with my PC settings and not the microscope, since the image looked good when using the built in screen.

??
I’ve had to return this microscope as there was no zoom to it and is too small for my needs (micro soldering) if you want a microscope to inspect coins or anything other then micro soldering then is a good little tool, but for micro soldering in my experience the space between the lense and the plate is too small. That’s my opinion anyway

Good value
This is a good value product that can be used effectively for stamps, coins, watches etc, but is not really suitable for PCB rework because the platform is too small and the pillar that supports the scope will be in the way for anything but the very smallest PCBs.Positives - very good for taking magnified pictures or short videos of small objects due to the inclusion of a micro SD card. For coins and stamps the magnification range is more than adequate and there is a good level of detail. Adjusting the focus is easy and the movement of the focus wheel is smooth as is the height adjustment. The inclusion of a built in rechargeable battery makes this unit highly portable and it is compact for storage. Can be connected to a PC or Mac but resolution is limited in this usage scenario. The metal stand offers excellent stability. The instruction manual is well written and comprehensive and the scope is very easy to assemble.Negatives - The magnification range quoted is wildly exaggerated in my opinion. The color of images displayed on the supplied screen are washed out. The menu system for settings is poor. The gooseneck lights are of limited use, especially for higher magnifications where they cannot be rotated to illuminate the subject sufficiently due to the large shroud. When connected to a computer the in-built screen is disabled. Not suitable for items where bottom illumination is required - maybe a lightbox platform should be included to extend the usage options.

Outstanding piece of kit
I purchased this as an upgrade to my Kkmoon 4.5" digital microscope. As I am now doing more and more SMD soldering, I wanted a larger screen. Also, the keypad on the TOMLOV, which allows the easy taking of photos/videos, is really useful to me, as I like to keep photographic records of repairs that I have done. What I wasn't expecting was the added image clarity I now get due to the anti-reflection cover. Viewing a PCB I had previously worked on with the cover installed was a HUGE difference. Super clear. Even when I added flux, which usually increases glare. I am very pleased with my purchase. All I need now is a longer USB charger lead than the one supplied to power the unit for long soldering sessions.

Nott such a
It is basic intro level machine. It is a manual focus and it means you have to raise it up and down and also use the focus ring. A lot of messing about. Book claims as well as sales details on Amazon it works with a Mac... sorry it does not. The company had three different goes and none of the suggestions worked including changing the USB lead..brand new out of the box? Apple also said they could not get it to pair with the item. I tried the item on its own screen. Fair. But all the leads in the way and the remote unit on a cable in the way and not easy to use. The instruction book is OK but it is not that wonderful. The two lights work off the back rotary wheel bright or dim ish off. But it tells you that you need an extra battery (not included) so you have to have it connected to the laptop as the battery does not last that long. Value for money? no not wonderful. I would have hoped for more. The more expensive version with an auto focus may be better but the reviews tell me to think twice or go back to a loupe. Disappointed as I had high hopes. Quality not to sure, lots of plastic and some metal. The adjustable stand does not look to strong and I have my concerns.
