Great book. I’ve been interested in swords my entire life. I learned more about swords and their design in the first 30 pages then in my entire life. As a note some knowledge just makes you know things that you wish you didn’t like Utred’s sword Dragon’s Breath from the Last Kingdom would not have been around in the ninth century—the hilt is all wrong thought the sword blade is correct. It is simply historically incorrect.

THis book covers so much from past to recent research on swords, to how to build all the different kinds, to swords in movies and how they were used. Its full of bright colorful pictures detailing everything you could possibly want to know about swords.

Este libro está perfecto, los materiales con los que está hecho, su contenido hasta ahora ha Sido tan completo e interesante que voy leyéndolo muy despacio de lo mucho que se aprende de él. Una excelente fuente de información, conocimientos e inspiración. Lo recomendaría cada vez.

The amount of information and technical details on swords in this book is amazing. You have to admire the ancient swordsmiths for their skill, and the book brings out all sorts of information and insights that will surprise and enlighten you. If you have any interest in swords, this is a great read and a terrific present for any Forged In Fire fan.

My dad loves this book.
