This one seems to be really sturdy and durable
I've purchased a few digital thermometers in the past, but didn't have much luck with them. They were not made well and would just stop working after awhile. This one seems to be really sturdy and durable. I was really happy that it came with batteries already installed and was ready to use. It has a long 5 3/4" probe which is great for thick roasts. It comes with a storage case, but I just leave it in my utensil holder on my counter because I use it so much! The thermometer is lightweight and is really easy to use. Just push the on button, then choose Fahrenheit or Celsius, insert into the meat and you will get an instant reading. The numbers are large and easy to see. Plus, I love the convenience of having a cordless one, compared to some of the higher end ones that come with cords.It's perfect for grilling! Everyone in our house likes our steaks cooked to a differently, from well done to rare. It's really hard to get it perfect without a thermometer. And no more dried out chicken or pork! With those you want to always cook to a safe temperature, but not overcook or they will be dried out and tough, yuck! And it's a must if your going to make candies or caramels. DIGITAL COOKING THERMOMETER FOR MEAT OR CANDY
The Voscale Digital Cooking thermometer works nicely. I am not the most adept in the kitchen and I have a tendency to overcook meat to ensure it is done. I love having the digital thermometer. I can now check the temperature of the meat I am cooking and ensure it is at the accurate temperature to be done without over cooking and drying it out. The thermometer is easy to use with an on and off button. It will shut off after so long of nonuse to save the battery. The battery is included, which is nice so it is ready to go. Works Great!
This thermometer works pretty good. The overall length is 9 ½ “ from top to tip. This makes it easy to insert into meat, get the reading without burning yourself. I have only used this with meat, they you can also use it for candy making.Unscrew the top cap and you will find a small watch battery that powers the unit. You can also unscrew the probe from the unit for cleaning. All the functions work as described.My only niggle is that the housing is feels cheap. I know that this is not a high priced unit. ($ 9.99 a the time of this writing) It feels like it would crack or break if I were to drop it on our tile floor.I does the job it was designed to do well. And again given the price and how well it does work, I would be inclined to buy this one again if the housing was to break or crack.We purchased this at a reduced price in exchange for an honest review.

so I was glad to get this one
I have been wanting a meat thermometer for a while now, so I was glad to get this one. It works pretty well so far. It's easy to use, has a nice set of options, and seems pretty sturdy. It does sometimes do weird things that seem random, like the display blinking for reasons I don't understand. It does take it a minute to get up to the temp so if you are checking something that's in the oven, I would pull it out of the oven completely to check or you'll stand there with the oven door open so long you'll let all the heat out. But other than that, it is doing a good job for me so far.I received this item free in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
