Hi there, We wouldn't suggest submerging or soaking these in any solution because of the soft thumb grip. Rather use isopropyl alcohol to tactfully wipe and clean the clipper. Kind Regards, Laura Manning Whole Health Supply

I looked all over the clippers and can't find a country of manufacture. There is some very fine print (I think but my eyes aren't that good) near the K (for Kohm). Kohm doesn't sound like a china name, so maybe in Europe. In any event, they are very well made.

Q: do you sell a smaller one for fingernails?
