Love the book, cover has a little bit of damage but I’m not all that fussed about things like that. I definitely recommend a purchase

I have read thousands of American comics. I’ve been buying them for 40 years. I’ve tried manga. I’ve studied it. It just leaves me cold and I would never buy any.Except this. It’s the only manga I have in my library.HILARIOUS! Laugh out loud funny! I have the first three volumes and have preordered the next one. Words and art go together perfectly. It takes a little getting used to reading “backwards” but I’m coping. Perfect manga for the guy in your life who doesn’t understand your obsession with manga.It’s about an ex-gangster who has retired and taken up as a househusband. He still follows his code but applies it all to his new way of life with hilarious results. I can’t tell if he’s joking (I don’t think so), delusional (possibly), or just trying to cope the best way he can with his new life. The characters never “wink” at the audience to let them know it’s a joke. Everything is taken seriously, which makes it oh so much better!

Quirky, hilarious, and sometimes educational. Want to learn how not to kill a cockroach? What would a showdown between Yakuza enforcer and the family head of another group look like *in a grocery store?* What's the best way to relax after a hard day? My copy of Vol. 3 fell in the dog's water dish (don't ask). I'm replacing it even though I've read it already.
