Followed the instructions for vegan didn't rise to the occasion
So I followed the vegan option for recipe which stated an oil and vegan yoghurt. I used coconut oil and alpro natural yoghurt. They didn't whisk together well and the end result was a flatbread rather than a cake that did not taste great. It's a shame because I was really excited for an easy make vegan cake but this was not the one. May be better as a non vegan cake

Very disappointed
I searched for gluten free cake mixes and saw this product which said "no wheat, no egg" etc.My mum and sister are both coeliac and this was a surprise birthday cake. When it arrived the ingredients said oat (I know this is dangerous for a coeliac as it has gluten) and the disclaimer said made in a factory that processes wheat. This means it is NOT gluten free product. Therefore I couldn't take the risk of using it.I then ordered THREE other gluten free cake mixes that together were only £3 more than this ONE item.

Tastes okay but disappointingly dense texture...
I was happy to see a gluten free, vegan-friendly cake mix with an ingredients list a bit more varied than your typical free-from packet mix cake. Also brilliant to find that the sachet of sugar supplied is separate from the rest of the mix so you can use less sugar if you like or easily substitute it with an alternative sweetener if you prefer.I got the basic vanilla cake and followed the pack instructions to make a 7” cake baked in the oven for 40 minutes (there’s also instructions to cook in a pressure cooker if you want to try that). All simple enough, no issues...The cake turned out so-so. Good cakey flavour and the browned top was lovely but the cake overall was only lightly risen and quite dense, not light and fluffy. To be fair, it looked a lot like the texture of the cake on the front of the box which upon closer inspection does look quite dense and stodgy in appearance.I do think this is a very pricey cake mix compared to similar products (£7.99 a box at the time of review), especially pertinent given the very average results. Perhaps the recipe could be tweaked a little by a confident baker for better results but that defies the purpose of getting an instant cake mix I think.Other Notes. Long 9 month expiry date on the box I received. Country of Origin: India.

Out of date
I ordered three of these cake mixes (vanilla, chocolate, and brownies) and they do not last long compared to other cake mixes - one was out of date in 4 days, another in a month, and the last 6 weeks. I normally have these sort of kits in my cupboard for months for a quick cake. Only buy these if you plan to use them immediately.

Don't waste your money.
It doesn't rise at all! I made two and they still are extremely flat even on top of each other. I'm extremely disappointed.

Easy to make but doesn't look like the picture
This cake is easy to make. You can make it vegan or not, both recipes are on the box. Basically you whisk all the wet ingredients and then add the dry ingredients, then pour into a lined 7" cake tin. Well i whisked well, as i figured this would be the main rising agent. I do believe i did everything right, it's not hard to follow the clear instructions but it just didn't seem to rise much at all (see pic). I did use a deep tin but there wasn't much mix for the size in my humble opinion.Taste wise, it was very nice. It turned out to be a slightly dense texture with an almost wholemeal taste to it. I assume the refined sugar had something to do with this. If i have baked two of these mixes i could have made a sandwich cake but one mix didn't do it. I nice cake and considering it is wheat free and can be vegan, maybe an option for many out there. I want to express that it is tasty and don't want that to get lost in my review. If you are looking for a light vanilla sponge this is not for you though.I like it but won't be buying it unless i have a guest with certain dietary requirements that this cake offers.

Didn't like it
I didn't like this, and neither did anyone in the family, unfortunately. The cake mixture mixes easily enough: you add hot water, butter or oil, and either eggs or yogurt. We used butter and eggs to try to make it taste as cake-y as possible. It was not successful. Now look: this cake mixture has no sugar and no wheat - which is sort of amazing in itself. The only problem is, it didn't taste very good. It was quite dense, and stodgy, and the vanilla flavour was too harsh. If you're someone who eats sugar and wheat, you will likely find this unpalatable. But I don't suppose it's made for us! If you're on a low-carb diet, or you're avoiding sugar, you may well love this. As I said, though: you need to add either eggs or yogurt, so it's not suitable for vegans.

Amazing premixed Cake :)
We are generally not in favour of pre mixed food items for our son however we recently tried the "Slurrp" farm's Vanilla Cake Mix and we were very surprised with the product. It came in a beautiful pack and can be prepared with or without egg (the pack is for vegetarians though) and the plus point is that you can bake it in a pressure cooker even (no fancy cooking method).Few plus points which we felt:-1. As the box mentions it contains No refined sugar, No Maida, No preservatives, No artificial flavours and No egg (bonus for vegetarians).2. It was very easy to make ready (infact our 3.5 year old son was able to mix the entire Ingredients 😀).3. It contains a blend of Oat, Jowar, Amarnath, Rice etc. which definitely was a plus for us.The sponge was just like our homemade cakes with amazing taste. In all, we loved the product and hoping that the review helps. Posting few pictures to help you in your decision making :)

Yummmm
I have bought this may be 4 times now. So easy to make and super delicious. I've always made a vegan/veg version, experimenting by adding banana/curd/milk/only water and oil etc. Topped with mixed dry fruits/spreads. Always turned out great and people loved it. Feels good to know it's a healthier alternative too. I appreciate that the sugar is provided separately so we can adjust the sweetness to our taste, instead of being forced to eat a super sweet treat like most other bake mixes out there. It's a little pricy though, quantity could be increased. Will be trying out the other flavours next. Please keep up the quality. Thanks! :)

Taste not anywhere as good as normal flour cake.
If you want to eat healthy, go for salad or chicken. If u want to eat cake, take one from a bakery or bake one yourself using flour (maida). This taste does not come close to what normal tea cakes taste like. No point in eating a tasteless healthy cake.

Pet friendly
Bought for my dog's birthday. He and his friends ate well. I tasted a bit too. Felt crunchy texture, since I added no sugar which comes in separate packing, could not taste the actual flavor. But smells great. Didn't really come out well puffed.

We hated it
First of all let me clarify, i am a huge slurrp farm fan and have been using their products for 2 years now including nut mixes cereals chilla mixes stru mavu etc. This mix was disappointing and we threw away the whole thing in the dustbin. We do use a lot of millets and healthy foods in out diets so i would like to believe that its not coz i expected it to br like junk food level tasty. The issue is that The millet flavor is so overpowering and the cake isnt lightweight at all (we made with eggs and even then). It just tasted like the cake was old and stale and even the color was putting off.
