Great lens.
This was bought as a replacement b/c my original developed some flaws that began to show up in my prints. So I had to replace it. It was about 4 years old. Don’t know what caused it. But, you can’t go wrong with Nikon, it’s first rate.

READ THE FINE PRINT!!
I Bought a D-7000 nikon and loved the colors I have a 18-270 lens so i wanted to lighted the weight so i bought a 18-55 lens. TOO MY SURPRISE NO FOCUS I couldn't figure out what I did (I was going on vacation so when i got back i forgot to use that camera I am a Canon Man from way back I went back on the add and found this~ Incompatible models: D4 Series, D3 Series, D2 Series, D1 Series, D800 Series, D700, D610, D600, D300 Series, D200, D100, D7000I missed the deadline for return.........SO READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING

One of the best kit lenses on the market right now
Great lens. Very fast AF and quite sharp throughout it's entire range. The only thing you have to watch out for is compatibility with older Nikon DSLRs. But this actually makes a nice upgrade for the 18-55 VR II lens that came with the D3300 (you have to update the firmware in the D3300 to get it to work with this lens). And it's much better for focusing in movies.Really the only minor complaint is that you have to go into the menu to turn the image stabilization on or off. Wish they would've kept it as a physical dial on the lens itself. But that is just a minor annoyance.

I dislike the lock and unlock features of this lens. Not sure why this is necessary on this small lens.

Wonderful Lens
First Gen AP-S 18-55mm used for 15 years, dropped and broke it. Got these, and the condition was excellent. Goes to show that good lens design don't age.
