Buyer Beware, $80 drive acts like an $8 drive
"Plug and play" is a bit generous. After plugging the drive in, my PC recognizes the drive, it disappears, reappears, and makes my computer chime every second like it's panicking about the disappearing/flickering drive. I have to unplug and re-plug it until it decides to connect, sometimes I have to play this game for 10+ minutes until I get a stable connection. To make matters worse, I have to jam the eject button several times to open it regardless of whether there's a disc in there or not. I thought by paying more I'd get my money's worth, I didn't. Buyer beware.

Drive works great with 3rd party software
Works great with third party software like CyberLink's Power2Go10... not so much in Windows 7 or 10's format like USB flash drive. When copying lots of data Windows gets confused and results in errors. Pwer2Go10 works great.

Great Value, Works Great on MACBOOK PRO and High Sierra OS.
Works great On my new MacBook Pro 2017. I had two Samsung Blu-ray/DVD burners that were both leaving a dark ring in the middle of both Blu-rays and DVDs and they would not work. I bought this out of desperation, and because the price was low, and so far it has not given me a single toaster After 15 or so burns of both BR and DVD. Yes I would buy this again in an instant.

I bought this product to use on my 2017 MacBook Pro to not only watch Blu-Ray movies, but for school and work purposes. This product works as described provided that you purchase the additional Blu-Ray software for your MacBook like mentioned in the advertisement. Once the software was installed, I play the movie 300 on my MacBook and it played without issue and in HD. I spent the additional money and bought the Macgo MacBook Blu-Ray Player Pro software from macgo. You could probably get away with the standard version, but I just went for the Pro (which is probably overkill for me anyways). I did have purchase a USC-C adapter from Apple since I have the latest MacBook and the cables that come with the device are USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. I only connected the USB 3.0 cable and it works fine for me. Others have mentioned they need to connect both cables for the device to work.Note: Right now I am giving this 5 stars because it performs as describe. However, I will continue to test it and update this rating if I find issues and the company can not help me solve them.

Does not come with software, but it is good and small, exactly what I was looking for. But not coming with software is really a bad thing, in my opinion, as most free softwares out there are really crapy and come with malware/adware when installing.

It's very durable but I copy and burn a lot of Blu-ray discs and it stopped working .
It's pretty durable but I think it should of lasted at least 1 year but only lasted 10 months. they did refund me most of my money because I had payed for the square insurance or warranty and they were very nice and i am ordering a pioneer internal sata Blu-ray writer.

Piece of Junk
This is a piece of junk where no quality test done realizing to consumers in north America by Chines. As soon as this device is connected to laptop and desktop it crashes my mac book pro and iMac. Even if you connect both wires into the device still does not have enough power to get the drive going and as result it keeps crashing. embarrassment.! Returned today asking for refund.
