By far the best I've found for blackberries.
Light years ahead of leather gloves, and better than Kevlar (mostly because they are more dexterous). I can grab blackberry canes with impunity maybe 95% of the time. Occasionally, a thorn will work its way through the overlapping carbon fiber plates that comprise the protection of the glove and hit paydirt, but usually without enough force to cause any real distress. One thing that I dont' like about these gloves vs. the cheaper red ones that the same company makes, is that thorns can make their way in via the seams, which are unsealed. Five stars would be mean sealed seams and getting rid of the mesh panel on the back.

Safe and Reliable
These gloves were exactly as they read but they are stiff and hard to move in. I get they are ment to protect your hands but the work I do. Requires me to cloths my hand with ease and not struggle through stiff multilayer material. Sides from that through the rugged and blind danger that my work has me do. I have no problem reaching into a pipe of junk and not having my glove punchered.

work well sometimes. I expect a lot more for a $50 pair of gardening gloves!
If you're handling cactus these gloves will help. But don't expect to be needle free after doing so. While parts of these gloves are well armored against thorns and needles, most of them are not. The edges and sides of the all but the index finger has virtually no protection. You'll find needles (esp the small hair line ones) will find your hands easily (mostly around the finger tips on the left and right). The top portion of the gloves is a thin nylon mesh that, again, has no protection (so be careful!). Also, durability wise, this pair of gloves doesn't stand up to consistent use. I suggest only using them for cactus purposes and changing your gloves if you're digging or doing any other type of garden work. The palms will split in a short time if over used. For $50 I really expected a lot more.

For the first time, I'm in love! (don't tell my girlfriend)
Ok love might be a bit overboard but these gloves are great for ripping out BlackBerry brushes and others brushes with thorns. They won't protect your forearms or the back of your hands but nothing has gotten through the protected fronts so I can pull as hard as need to to rip those suckers out. They are way to expensive for garden gloves but definitely worth it. Other gloves I have tried worked fine until I had to tighten my grip and then those nasty needles poked through.

Palms are very protected but the back of your hands get poked and messed up.
Sure your palms are protected but if you're working with bundled messes of wire or cutting cactus or thorny bushes these fail hard. THe backs of the hands are not protected much at all. Just a breathable mesh.

I wouldn't trust these gloves against syringe punctures.
Although I'm sure they do a fine job at protecting hands from thorns and other pesky shrubbery, and although this company advertises that these gloves protect against needle punctures, I wouldn't trust them. Because I deal specifically with possibly infected syringes on a regular basis, I need to be 100% sure I am protected, and these gloves only have complete fingertip protection on the pointer finger and pinky. And what they advertise as protection doesn't seem as stout as it should be if they are advertising protection against needles. I returned mine. It's not worth the risk.

The product works great!
I used these gloves in Rwanda! Climbing through mountain terrain to see gorillas. There is a ton of stinging nettles and these gloves absolutely worked to protect my hands!!! Amazing!!! The guides asked if they could have them. You can grab the stinging nettle plants and zero penetration into the gloves. Needless to say, I had an amazing time!!! THIS PRODUCT EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS!!!

Works pretty good for cactus
Bought these to help me plant my cactus. They work pretty goood. The sides and back of the gloves are not as protective so you still have to be a little careful. I sometimes use theses as well as putting on some longer protective gloves.
