I gave this four stars because I love the illustrations. They have enough detail for the casual colorer who want to divert themself during a long trip or chemo infusion, but don't require using advanced techniques - although there is room for that if someone is really good with colored pencils. It is also a very very good value --- although you get what you pay for on the pencils. There is almost no difference between the two oranges, the red, and the brown - all are almost exactly the same color ... same for the blues. I do have some other colored pencils at home which were not fancy - just col-erase normal pencils and I didn't realize how bad the pencils that come with this set were until I used some of my own.... I would have preferred a higher quality pencil with some differentiation between the colors... having to bring another set of pencils along kinda defeats the convenience of having them part of the packaging - and once you start coloring, having the the colors look almost exactly the same is a little frustrating and very disappointing. Again, I would have gladly paid a couple bucks more for this for better pencils.

Pretty pictures not too complicated for us less than patient people. Once in awhile you gotta sit down and do something frivolous that empties your mind for a bit. This an inexpensive book compared to most, believe me I searched Amazon. The colored pencils are okay but I also used double ended marks.

It's definitely good for the price, the paper is more like the “plasticky” paper. The color goes on soft, i believe because of the paper, i haven’t tried the colored pencils on anything else. I do like that it has a place for the pencils so it’s easy to carry around.I actually forgot to say that another downside is basically once you’re done with the first page you have to rip it out to have the same ease of coloring and grabbing the colored pencils. It opens up so the page is in the way.

Bought these as 'gifts' for bridal shower games - they are very sturdy, nice, a decent size, and comes with colored pencils. Much cheaper than alternatives without sacrificing quality!

Great with coloring, not too light and not too dark like some pencils. Very nice assortment and wide range of colors to choose from. You will want these for the amazing quality and coloring feel they give off.
