IPS AAB4 Weld-On 1.25 oz Applicator Bottle with Needle

I was hesitant to get an applicator bottle because the guys at my makerspace insist that they have used everything from straws to knife blades to spatulas,etc... Overall, save yourself the hassle--some forms of Acrylic Weld ooze out like water!Only docked a star because this thing needs a funnel!- I spilt some Acrylic Weld trying to get it into the tiny bottle!

This applicator bottle works well, the needle on it is fairly narrow, however it can allow quite a bit to flow so you have to make sure you push out the air first, then just before tipping on its side let go so that it is actually sucking in as you get near the acrylic / plastic. It also comes with a cover for the needle portion (which is what makes it look so wide in the product photo). Hasn't leaked or clogged so far.

As a professional model maker using cyanoacrylate glues (CA - super glue), I rely on an applicator bottle like this to add a drop or two of accelerator to the CA in a PRECISE way. This is vastly superior to the alternative spray bottles that flood an area; economically, the spray is terribly wasteful and worse, it exposes one to health concerns with lingering droplets in the air. I encourage any modeler to replace the hobbyist spray bottle with this Weld-On Applicator.

Like it. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Be careful when first turning it over to apply your fluid though - it can come out in a hurry.

i actually use this to oil hard to reach springs on my guns, for that application its kinda slow to let out the oil, the needle could be biggerbut i realize that's not exactly what its for and it still works well enough anyway

This applicator worked great with the water thin acrylic solvent cement I use to assemble acrylic structures.Do not attempt to store acrylic solvent cement in this applicator bottle as the cap will not prevent the solvent from quickly evaporating. Return unused solvent to its air tight storage can.

didn't realize how small the opening is. tried to use for light gun oil and its hard to get out. needle is same size all the way through so can't be cut down

This is absolutely necessary for acrylic and lexan work. The only gripe is that these bottles never seem to avoid a small squirt of weld-on when you turn them over...it's annoying at best, dangerous at worst
