These brackets work perfect for installing shelves

Just what I needed to hang a few shelves that I've had for years but never hung up on the wall, only placed them on top of the counter. I lost the original wall mounts so was very glad to get these and have the shelves on the walls and clearing the space on my counters.

I used 2 of these to lock down the shelve I installed and used the 3/4 inch putty knife i bought.

I've utilized the smaller 1" brackets to augment the meager mounting capabilities of many electric and electronic devices that have eschewed proper mounting brackets in favor of swoopy lines and decorations. Many power strips suffer from this mis-feature. But when epoxied with JB-Weld epoxy to the sides of such devices, these brackets provide a secure way to mount them properly onto a utility board using screws. None of this silly "slide-on into slots from the back" nonsense that is easy for manufacturers to make but is really not at all secure.I also have used the larger 1.6" brackets in the more traditional way, to reinforce shelves and furniture and they work great - they're thick, heavy duty, manufacturing is consistent (they're all the same), and the screws are provided.16 of them might be too many for some projects but at least these aren't massively overpriced and only offered in gigantic sized lots like so much small hardware on Amazon these days. Like I need a hundred of -anything- from a hardware store.

Sturdy - just what I was looking for.

I bought these for some plant stands that are about 3 ft. tall. They are old but needed to add some stability to them as they are outside. The stands are wood and had gotten rather weathered. Gave them a fresh coat of stain and their just like new again. Come spring my ferns will have a sturdy place to sit.
