Absolutely yummy vegan hazelnut spread that is a perfect alternative to Nutella!
I am vegan and try to stay gluten-free, but I like to keep a few items on hand as "comfort food" from time to time when I want to indulge a little. I've tried some brands that were supposed to be similar to this, but they did not nail the texture of it at ALL (was chunky and almost gritty? Blech!) and I had to end up throwing them away. This Nutiva Organic, non-GMO, Vegan Hazelnut Spread nailed it when it comes down to a texture and flavor close to Nutella brand. Is it low calorie? No. Is it healthy? Not really. This is one of those items that I consider as "vegan junk food," but it's still nice to have on hand as a vegan without getting tempted by the regular non-vegan name brand. It also blends and cooks well when using it for desserts. It has a rich, thick, and luxurious flavor that you can enjoy on toast, on desserts, or simply straight out of the jar on a spoon. It's tasty as heck, and no one would know that it WASN'T Nutella.I'm happy to find a vegan brand that nails the smoothness of Nutella, and a little goes a long way, so this will last me quite a while if I control myself. :) I have this on Amazon's Subscribe and Save, so I like that I get a little discount on it each month, too. My kids don't notice a difference whatsoever between this and the name brand one, so this is a big win for our household. Two thumbs up!

A higher class of chocolate hazelnut DELICIOUSNESS! And dairy-free
If you have a more refined palate, prepare for a truly grateful tongue as it sample the smooth, rich, true chocolate (with hazelnut) flavor of Nutiva. I speak French, have visited France and Belgium many times, and once thought Nutella was great. I will NEVER eat horribly sweet Nutella again. A preference for sugar like the pale Hershey or Cadbury imitations of chocolate explains any reviewer that does not prefer Nutiva. If you have sampled many varieties of Belgian chocolate and are ecstatic as a real chocolate morsel melts deliciously on your tongue, then try Nutiva. I just realized that Nutiva offers a dark chocolate version, and I'm curious to try it now because one way to describe regular, red-label Nutiva would be a higher cacao content, aka darker than Nutella.Try Nutiva: You can always mix with sugar & a little milk if you decide you prefer the less chocolatey, Nutella version. Nutiva is thicker than Nutella; it will need to be stirred if it has been sitting awhile before opening, more like natural peanut or almond butter rather than Skippy.Savoring Nutiva on brioche has enabled a vast increase in the lifetime of my stash of Belgian chocolat (a quarter of my carryon on my last flight back was Belgian chocolate bars!). Nutiva on brioche plus espresso or a latte... Mmmm.I prefer fine wine, whiskey (from Scotch to Bourbon), and Nutiva classic chocolate hazelnut spread!

Expensive, not as yummy, healthier choice
My son requested a chocolate cake with nut ella on top instead of frosting, for his birthday. I’m always looking for healthier options for my children, since I don’t want them to become addicted to sugar and foods with additives, and I want them to avoid health problems my parents and I have had due to bad eating habits. So I found this and my son approved! So I’m happy. This is not as sweet as regular hazelnut spreads, it contains organic ingredients, chia seeds, flaxseed, coconut oil, real cocoa, less sugar and less calories per serving. It is also more expensive of course, for the same price you get double the size of the regular hazelnut spread.

It is not the same as Nutella!
I've tried 3 brands looking for a replacement for Nutella. This is basically the same review I left for all 3.Nocciolata is the last/3rd & final brand I'm trying because the taste & consistency is nearly identical to Nutella. NUTIVA's consistency is smooth, but not as thick as Nutella & it's also more on the (very) dark chocolate side than hazelnut flavor. And ELIOT's came mostly as a hard glob in the center & the rest was very runny. It took several minutes to break down the clump & get it thoroughly mixed. Even after blending it's still runny, gritty & won't even stay on a butter knife. It's also very dark chocolatey & too bitter for me. The only issue I have with Nocciolata is the price. Healthier, but more expensive.

Tastes just like Nutella and is definitely sweet enough - BUY IT!
I didn't think I would write a review for this product, but it really is THAT good. I just felt compelled to dispel all these reviews saying it's "too bitter" or "not sweet enough" - you people must have an INSANE sugar intake and tolerance if you think that's the case because this most definitely is sweet. I honestly would not like it any sweeter, and I'm not saying that as one of those vegan health nuts that eat a date or fresh fruit for dessert. I have a pretty big sweet tooth and love rich, indulgent desserts and this definitely hits the mark. To me it tastes just like Nutella, and I went into it expecting it to taste more healthy (in a bad way) based on peoples' reviews saying it wasn't sweet enough, but I was extremely pleasantly surprised that it tasted just like I remembered before going vegan. It's a little more expensive than Nutella, sure, but it also has all organic ingredients, plus a little extra protein and much more fiber than Nutella, without the unnecessary dairy, so I think it's definitely worth it. Will definitely be buying more!

Less sugar, more chocolate flavor!
I usually get the name brand like product, but I thought I'd give this a try. We all need less sugar in our diet, right? If you are a real chocolate lover, you'll love this. It has a deeper genuine chocolate taste. Compared to the name brand product, this brand is a bit closer to dark chocolate...yummy! I have since received another jar of the name brand popular product. I still like it, but it is more sugary and less chocolatey in comparison. In a perfect world, I'd have a jar of each on hand. If I had to chose between the 2 brands? This one is better quality and taste.
