Heyrex Torus 1-Liter Pet Water Bowl, Red

More importantly, my cat loves it. She's always been a finicky cat when it comes to her water and preferred to drink out of my bathroom sink. Now she has stopped and drinks exclusively from this bowl. I use filtered water so I don't use the filter. The water sits quite low in the bowl, but there are no spills and so far no complaints from the cat. Someone said that this bowl attracts dirt and dust and I haven't had that problem. Because of that statement I check the bowl frequently and found no such "dirt/dust" attraction. Every few days I top off the water and wipe out the bowl, maybe this little bit of maintenance insures that the bowl stays clean. The only downside and it's really not a problem, is that filling the reservoir is a bit slow, but don't care, the cat loves it and I don't have to do this on a daily basis.

Not as great as I thought it was going to be. Still has grime in her bowl. It just flowed slowly to try and prevent the grime. But it wasn't as fabulous as I thought

I tried getting water fountain for my two dogs. They'd not have it, because the battery sounds freak them out. There is no battery. I believe the mechanism for this water bowl is something related to physics... perhaps some genius way of using the weights, etc...It automatically replaces water so my kids are stayed hydrated. They are not scared of this water bowl because it does not make any sounds.

I posted a lengthy -- and glowing -- review of Heyrex's 2-Liter Torus "Ultimate Water Bowl", commenting along the way that although I had originally been eager for the smaller size to enter production, I liked the 2-Liter bowl so much that I questioned whether I would ever try the smaller one.Well, I did buy the Torus 1-Liter bowl, and it's fantastic. If you found -- or were concerned by reviews -- that the larger Torus bowl is just HUGE, and if you are not bothered by refilling the reservoir every week instead of every two (I have a small cat, which is why I only refill that often), then you will probably be very satisfied with this bowl. I love it.

After about 4 months of use, I started to notice black specks in the water. After cleaning the bowl, and refilling, black pellets (a lot!) started to flow out of the bowl. I contacted the manufacturer, but never received heard back.

I bought 2 of these. One is still going strong while the second started leaking exactly 1 day after the return window. Water now seeps out from the joining of the red and white parts in the back very quickly. I'm guessing a seal broke in there.
