Impactful & Eye-Opening
I plan to read this book at least once a year, opened my eyes to God's authority and how to use that with worldly authorities. A must-read for leaders and all.

Every Christian needs to read this book...
I haven't quite finished yet, but I am already blown away by this book. I so appreciate the author's vulnerability and the way he approaches some challenging questions from a humble and godly perspective with Scripture and truth. As Christians, we so readily point at others' behavior as 'lawlessness' and 'sin', but we all need to have a truthful understanding of what sin is before God and how he judges righteously. We each must come to a place of obedience to His word, even if it's something we don't "like". I love the way the author points out God's design and perfect plan and describes how we can respond in a way that honors God, even when we don't understand or disagree with a person. Highly recommend this book!

WE CHRISTIAN ARE MISSING IT BIG TIME
I gave this book 5 stars because John Bevere knows what he is talking about by the Spirit of God's WordNot by his own personal revelations or FEELINGS but by the Word of God and the experiences God placed him to understand His Word about authority in the churchRomans 13 give you a glimpse of God's word for those commenting John Bevere keeps using Old Testatment and John don't know what he's talking about and 1 Corinthians 11 about order and even Romans 12:4-5 where we are many members but one body and every member has it's own functionGod is a God of order and just like the military, school system and even our own household we have different ranksMy children will never run my household because 1. It's my household and I set the rules and 2. They are children and they are not capable of running a household and 3. How does it look for a child to discipline a parentBut this happens in the Christian churches of American todayWe can follow the order and commands in other places but churchHahahaha the devil got us fooled and this is where Proverbs 5:23, Hosea 4:6, Job 36:12 & Proverbs 10:21---We are destroyed because of our lack of knowledgeI find it amazing how we would pay hundreds, thousands and in many cases tens of thousand of dollars to go listen to a celebrity/motivational speaker, watch a game or even a concert but when it comes to God's anointed ones just to give a dollar offering we complain and say, "It's not God." (I only made his statement because some of the reviews also complained about giving money to the preachers, etc.)So in the end I ask:Can a student teach the teacher? Can a coach be coached by a team player? Can a child discipline a parent? And, yes, we have corrupt pastors, preachers, etc.We also have corrupt politicians, police officers, teachers, waiters, celebrities, etc. etc. and I'm sure you are still voting for them, using them for protection, teaching your children, serving your meal and watching their movies/listening to their CDsOkay I wrote enough in the end if you want the heart and mind of God when it comes down to authority in the body of ChristGET THIS BOOK :-)Thank you and God bless

Christ is counter-cultural
A must read for any man or woman of God. When Christ's followers accept ALL of God's authority, we become disciples of the Lord.Under Cover is a book for those who have chosen this day, to serve God and not society. When the Church is in order, we impact society for the better. Non-believers don't really want to follow Satan, they just want to follow the crowd. A Godly "crowd" makes a healthy nation. But when Christians rebel like non-believers, we tear apart instead of building. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Pursuit of popularity is rebellion. And rebellion is tearing our country apart.Read the Word. Submit to God. Be like the author of Psalm 119. Do not conform yourself to the ways of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2Jesus loves you.

Sometimes the truth can be a hard thing
I liked John Bevere's book about being under the cover of leadership in general. He mentions things we all need to be reminded of ... like not criticizing our leaders, being agreeable unless an issue is against God's word, and proper communication. I feel the book doesn't go in depth about staying under corrupt leadership instead of looking for other, more Christian-like opportunities. It also gives the impression that you should never go against leadership. It could have stressed the principles behind going against leadership in cases of racism, sexism, etc. To me it encouraged remaining in oppressive situations (that may not be against God's word) without fighting to make change (e.g. civil rights movement). I wish it had given more examples about what to do in these cases but otherwise it was good to read.

Disappointed
Found the points he was making to be good in general, but the supporting discussion, reasoning from scripture and personal past experiences to be a bit off kilter. Having studied many of the scriptures used for support in his points, I think they were often twisted to try to fit, withheld their richness and stretched their meaning beyond the breaking point at times. I was surprised, because he is well regarded for his "The Bait of Satan." I do not intend to read it now.

A very convicting read
So blessed to read this at this time as we take time to reflect on areas God is wanting us to clean up in our character. Those that put action to what they read here will surely be blessed.

This is a book who dare to live on the ...
This is a book who dare to live on the edge and can handle a challenge. It will challenge, it will make you think. Some reviewers misjudge the message and see it as a license for control freaks, it's not. Its saying the spiritual equivalent of "if your cruising down the motorway, and fail to stop for a policeman supervising a crash site, expect to be in trouble." It's how it works. And conversely, if someone was to impersonate a policeman (and the delegated authority)..... the legitimate authority will soon deal with that - so be very careful before you assume authority (in a church setup) that wasn't legitimately given to you.
