The media could not be loaded.  I was pleasantly surprised when I received the umbrella. It looked and felt expensive, the umbrella case was a lovely colour of red and has the brand name on it. A zip opens the case and inside is the umbrella with a rain cover, a zip on the raincover enables the umbrella to be easily placed back in the cover. The handle of the umbrella has a rubberised feel making it easy to grip and also has a wrist strap. What makes this umbrella the easiest I have ever used is that it has a button on the handle, one press and the umbrella opens completely and it is just a simple to close again, just press the button again and it closes again to its compact size which is just over 11 inches, just close the strap around it and place back in the rain cover and back in to the case. This umbrella is strong and robust but at the same time small enough to pop in your bag. A great deal of thought has gone into producing not only the umbrella but how it is presented and the beautiful case. This would make a great gift for someone and has that feel of luxury.

Waste of money. I bought this umbrella few months ago but have not had the chance to use until now. You can't use it in windy conditions as you get exactly the same result when using a cheaper umbrella. And it was not even too windy when i used it. I don't understand how this got so many 5 star reviews.Very disappointed for the price it cost me.

When you push the button on the handle it pops open. Push same button again and the umbrella closes, allowing you to collapse the shaft by pushing together. Good size and absolutely water repellent and stormproof. It rained really heavy and windy the last days and I used the umbrella. It was very sturdy and I like the size and light weight. It is also easy to open and close.

Update on my earlier review.- the supplier read my review and offered to replace the umbrella without me having to return the broken one. hooray! However their carrier let them down badly and it took 4 attempts and almost a whole month;before the replacement successfully arrived. Full marks to Van Beeken for persistence. The replacement seems fine. It looks good and feels like a quality item. We now await the rain to test it out.I bought this as a present and chose this particular umbrella because of the excellent reviews. One of the supporting struts broke as soon as it was opened. Now I have to trek to the post office on the weekend to send it back. Very disappointed indeed. Incidentally despite other reviews I have to dispute the lightness of the product. This is NOT light in my opinion. I found it rather heavy, much heavier than my other umbrellas so I weighed it. It weighs 394g without the cover and 480 with.

I live in the north of rainy and windy England, I wanted a good quality umbrella which would be easy to use, strong with a non slip grip and quality material. This umbrella fits all my needs. I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my wife. This umbrella is top quality and should last for years to come. It's money well invested.

The media could not be loaded.  Great product fair play.Normally I will just buy a cheap umbrella for it just to break almost instantly so this time I spent a little more and what a top quality piece of kit this is.1st of all the hard carry case looks very professional.I love the quick press button that fully extends the umbrella and then releases it when not in use and all you have to do is push it down.Im happy I made this purchase

This umbrella is perfect. It has a button to automatically open it and when you press down, it automatically closes it. I have never seen one like that before. No more stumbling in the rain to manually try to open it. It is made of Teflon so the rain slides right off of it and the umbrella stays quite dry. The handle is made of rubber so you get a nice grip and has a great long strap to it too. It can withstand strong winds and folds down to be very small and can fit right in your purse. Love it.

I have bought several auto brollies and taken out sent them all back because they are far too heavy, too big to go into bag and awkward to hold. This is fantastic! I bought it last year and have used it many times since. Completely reliable, light weight and small enough to go into my handbag. It has never played up, opens and closes with a press of the button perfectly! The big bonus with this is that it's sooo easy to fold away and the case has a zip so no problems getting it in that either! I highly recommend this umbrella if you want lightweight, reliable easy to manage protection from rain.
