My son is 2 he loves to tinker with things and esp loves unplugging stuff in our home and turning on and off the lights. I think this will be his favorite Christmas gift. It is a little espensive but considering the time ot took to make and all the wiring buttons and switches Im not mad plus I havent seen anything like this on other sites. Ebay wants double the price for these types of toys. It is not finished but wont give splinters or anything it is sanded smooth and sturdy.I would, with younger kids, if you get the bigger board supervise just bc of the bigger plug cord to make sure they dont try to wrap around their neck. That same cord may be hard for them as it can only go in one direction but will give a challenge so thats good.I put the batteries in and it lit right up. I am super excited for him to open it. This would be good for any young kid really esp those who seem like they may wanna be a future mechanic or something along those lines like to figure things out and learn how they work.I just wish that the other similar toys lit up bc so many of these types of toys have switches but dont lit up and we all know the kids love the lights lol, thats the point of a switch so I was excited when i saw this.Thanks.Edit: My son loved the gift and plays with it often. My child has loved this busy board from age 1 on. It is a great toy to play with while in the car, on the airplane, at home, or at a restaurant. It's small, so perfect for little hands. Would recommend if you want to get away from screens and plastic. Also, my 10 and 13 year old cousins were playing with it too!

I needed this to add or busy board my husband and I made, this one was the perfect fit, I ordered 3, but one came and one light did not work, started a return for an exchange and the process could not have been simpler and received my replacement within days. The parents tell me their children love the light board on the busy board

I had originally purchased this for my kid to play with the buttons, having something tactile to flip with lights that actually lit up was a big hit. The cords with plugs also lighting up was a nice bonus as well. At first this thing looked pretty well made but under the use and abuse a toddler can throw at it, some of the build quality issues started to show up. The first issue we had was the retaining nut on the metal toggle switch came loose both being a choking hazard and the little label under it came loose too, A little super glue fixed that though. The LEDs are mounted but not very robustly and some force can cause them to loosen as well which can cause them to stop working all together. 2-3 of the LEDs flat out stopped working because of this and another 1 or 2 would only work intermittently as well. The last issue that ultimately led us to throwing it away was the RCA base came loose coming completely detached from the base. At this point it had been through quite a bit of use and abuse and was becoming more of a hazard than a toy/activity. For $50 I was hoping for a bit more longevity out of it.

It is not that sturdy. The place to put the battery is flimsy. Most of the time, when it stop working, it is because the battery inside was misplaced and I have to open and close it every time. It is quite annoying. It is something they definitely need to improve on.Also it is overprice. The material use are not of a quality. That explained the battery getting misplaced when it got shaken, drop off by the kid, etc. the battery holder is made of cheap plastic that was attached to the wires inside and that won’t sit properly to it’s placed because of the wires. The wood can be easily chip. The painting is great though.

I got this for my son when he was a year old and loved pushing the buttons. He is 18 months old and still loves playing with it. The cord came off within a week because he was using the string to carry it around. I was ok with the string coming off because he loved putting it in his mouth.

My 20 month old did this after playing with toy for a very short time. The small metal piece was also very SHARP once pulled apart!!! It appears sturdy BUT read the reviews!!!!! I did NOT take any seriously because they were so few in number. When I contacted the company, the offered a generous SLAP in my face by saying they’d send me the same crappy toy. That was an instant no thanks keep your toy!!!! My child could have choked if she was not supervised. LOOK at the picture and think about this company’s solution!!!! When I called them out on it they simply responded that they would let management know (after I mentioned that was NOT mentioned in their initial correspondence) and asked if they could help in any other way to cover themselves as I’d already reported this company to Amazon. They could have offered the money back or another toy with no cord or even a fidget that wasn’t mechanical. Why do I have to tell them that? That’s business 101. They did NOT consider my feedback as they were quick to pacify me with the exact toy I mentioned was a HAZARD—-shame on them! I provided a VERY detailed note to them with many points that they didn’t address….in short they said we are sorry for the inconvenience…..well my child nearly choking is NOT an inconvenience and neither will it be for your child….it could have been worse!!!! Do NOT purchase this toy!!! Poor customer service with the company and poorly executed overpriced gadget! Do not believe the “well made” and “sturdy” buzz word reviews. See the pictures….look how more than one person had the SAME issue….so what the company can or should do would be to stop the sale of this toy and figure out how to improve it before something more serious happens with a young child…..AVOID purchasing this item PLEASE…..READ other reviews….do not make the same mistake I made!

Poorly made. Battery compartment not secure, constantly having to open to push battery in, some of the lights already not working. Very small
