Product Description The musical companion to one of this year's most buzzed about movies. Features remixes and new songs by Fall Out Boy, Cee Lo, Panic! At The Disco, All American Rejects, The Sounds, Armor For Sleep, The Bronx, The Hush Sound, Spearhead, and more. For months, the Internet has been flooded with amateur music videos, songs, and even entire blogs dedicated to this movie. Included on the enhanced portion of this CD is the "best of the best" of those amateur creations. .com Once in a while, the Hollywood marketing machine is made redundant by the viral campaign that develops, seemingly on its own, around a movie. In 2006, such a web phenom surrounded Snakes on a Plane months before its summer release. The movie was cool before it even opened, and that status is reflected on the kind of musicians on its soundtrack. For starters, it's co-released by Decaydance, the label run by Fall Out Boy's bassist Pete Wentz; this isn't a coincidence, as most of the bands involved belong to the same musical universe, including several with a connection to former FOB label Fueled by Ramen (The Academy Is , Panic! At the Disco, Gym Class Heroes, the Hush Sound). The vibe is happy-go-lucky and exuberant, a feeling bolstered by the fact that while most of the songs aren't original, they've been remixed for extra-oomph by the likes of Tommie Sunshine and Teddybears. Among the few originals are the title track by Cobra Starship (an ad hoc "supergroup" made up of members of The Academy Is , Gym Class Heroes, and The Sounds) and "Ophidiophobia" by Cee Lo Green, on loan from Gnarls Barkley. Finally, the cool factor is compounded by snippets of movie dialogue between tracks, Tarantino-like. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

Ignorance is bliss
I have never heard of any of these artists or these songs so no original tracks to compare. Liked all the songs. Also enjoyed the enhanced extras -- they have the music video played during the closing credits of the movie, and my favorite, the short "Early Auditions" video. Dave Coyne does decent impersonations of stars reading for Jackson's role: Walken, Nicholson, Pesci, and Beaker. Poor Beaker, that was pretty good.

Fun Movie Soundtrack for a Fun Movie
For a movie like Snakes on a Plane, you'd expect the soundtrack to be just as goofy. The lead track, "Snakes on a Plane (Come On, Bring It)," is a fun start to an enjoyable album. Many of the tracks are remixes that weren't really in the movie, but are neat anyway.Definitely recommended to anyone who likes pop-remixes, campy movies and fun music.

Snakes On A Plane is going to be coming with something else????
I love this soundtrack, the unclean version though. It has a bunch of catchy tunes. I wonder if the sound quality of the first track is suppose to be with less bass and solid sound? The song sounds undermixed all Teh Teh and not boom boom. Pick this cd up you can't go wrong it is a companion album to go with the movie if you love the film itself? There is only a few songs on the cd that's in the movie though, like the first song. The song by Gym Class Heroes and Cee Lo Green and the last 3 songs. The reason that I said that Snakes On A Plane is going to be coming with something else is that I just found out from an email from Varese Sarabande concerning the image mistake on their Nanny McPhee front and back cover art is that...well find out below for yourself the copy and paste info from my email under the February 27th relase date:Coming Soon from Varèse Sarabande:February 13, 2007Christopher Young: GHOST RIDEROriginal Motion Picture SoundtrackBT and Tommy Stinson: CATCH AND RELEASEOriginal Motion Picture ScoreStewart Matthewman: THE ASTRONAUT FARMEROriginal Motion Picture SoundtrackKlaus Badelt and Ramin Djawadi: BEAT THE DRUMOriginal Motion Picture SoundtrackScott Glasgow: ROBOTECH: THE SHADOW CHRONICLESOriginal Motion Picture SoundtrackJERRY GOLDSMITH: His Final RecordingsOriginal Motion Picture Soundtracks3 CD Set - STAR TREK NEMESIS / TIMELINE / LOONEY TUNES: BACK IN ACTIONFebruary 27, 2007Mychael Danna: BREACHOriginal Motion Picture SoundtrackTrevor Rabin: SNAKES ON A PLANEOriginal Motion Picture ScoreCarlo Siliotto: NOMAD: The WarriorOriginal Motion Picture SoundtrackMarch 13, 2007David Shire: ZODIACOriginal Motion Picture Score

Stranger to Danger.
The album itself is ridiculously fantastic. The movie is absolutley way more than anyone on the entire face of the earth would ever think. The movie was really well done and it was a surefire action movie. It actually had parts when I was feeling queesy because of the suspense. My heart was racing a million times a minute. That is what I define as a good action movie. This Album is what I would define as a great soundtrack, sadly almost NONE of the songs were in the movie. Still the CD holds up to the movie. The remixes are well done (All the songs except for 4 of them are remixes).FBR and New Line did a wonderful job compiling this CD. Most of the artists on the CD are signed under FBR (Fueled By Ramen) which is an independent recording label. I was really suprised about the track by The Sounds. Remixed by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy. Very well done, I'm not sure if hes remixed before but it was good. Cee Lo also has a great song on this CD, its very catchy. All the songs have monsterous bass lines. Which is always fun to have.Snakes on a Plane was a fantastic movie and so is this Album, I would recommend this to people who have heard and enjoy FBR artists. Or anyone who likes remixes , its all it is.That damn Cobra Starship song is soooo damn catchy!
