The Jacksons - Triple Feature

Im not a huge fan of double or triple album packs, I enjoy having original artwork and am not a huge fan of the cheap presentation and combining of multiple albums into one box or one disc. That being said, this is the best combo pack I have ever purchased. I previously purchsed the X2 (Destiny and Triumph) box which was the separate albums with their own jewel cases and books housed in a cardboard box. The Jacksons triple pack happened to have the 3 albums I needed for my CD collection of The Jacksons in one pack. Despite not liking this packs, I picked it up at Bestbuy because I wanted all 3 and the price was good (only 10 dollars).When you open it up, you get a tri-gatefold with stylized versions of the album artwork on each section of it. It actually looks really cool. The back of the gatefold has the tracklist of each album. Something that really shocked me and that I enjoyed was the fact that the discs look exactly the same as 1980s CDs, Im not sure if the manufacturing plant has never revised the artwork for the disc or what but it looks really cool and I like it. The sound quality is equally impressive and is very dynamic and quietly pressed. My guess is that since these 3 albums were never the biggest hits that they hadn't been remastered or repressed in all these years so what is being pressed now is the exact same as the first run of these.As for the albums, they are all good to great, none are mindblowing like Destiny or Triumph but they are all a lot of fun and have great vocal and instrument production efforts and most have a handful of amazing songs with just some filler. The Jacksons and Goin Places do have some cliche funk/soul to them and Victory has some 80s synthesizer cheesiness as well but it adds to the simple and lighthearted nature of these albums. Anyways, I was surprisingly very happy with the packaging and presentation of this package. Most value packs suck but this is an awesome pick up and these 3 albums aren't sold new in stores separately form what I've seen.
