These speakers are specially designed with true 4ohm technology. The impedance of these speakers are 3ohms, but when you pair them with thin factory wiring, the impedance will naturally rise up to a true 4ohms resulting in a maximum amount of power draw from your 4ohm rated factory receiver, aftermarket deck, or external amplifier. What it comes down to is efficiency. If you need a speaker that will get the most out of your current sound system, the Reference X series is for you. Want an easy upgrade for your factory speakers without going over your budget? The Infinity Reference X Series is for you. Its engineered to bring your factory audio system to life, or to add clarity and depth to an aftermarket system. With innovative, patented technologies, and the kind of premium quality and construction that you would expect from the worlds top-selling premium car speaker brand, Infinity Reference X speakers will transform your listening experience into something amazing.

Excellent price on high end replacements for OEM
These speakers have great sound. Full range from a thumping bit of bass to great mids and clear highs. They sound fine from a decent aftermarket or modern OEM head unit but even better when I put a small 50w amp on them. They come with a bracket to help fit in a variety of situations and adhesive backed foam cutouts to help with vibrations. Highly sensitive and great for replacing door speakers from the factory.

actually have good mid-bass response
Used these to upgrade my awful 5 1/2 in speakers in the rear doors. These speakers, unlike most Inifinity speakers, actually have good mid-bass response. I heard them in store and loved them, for the price you really can't beat it, I don't think there's a comparable product in the same price range. Top notch. Installation is a breeze with the provided brackets, they will fit ANY car make and model.

For the money... RIDICULOUS BARGAIN!
For the money... RIDICULOUS BARGAIN. I went from a very hi-end $3,000+ car stereo that I had to sell and since I was not using an actual amp for the front speakers anymore, I was looking for something that would sound decent and play loud, not be too expensive and most importantly would run OK without an amp - right off the deck. My deck is a decent Alpine HU, maybe 20-watts x 4. I am using a pair of these in my doors where a set of $1,300 Dynaudio components used to be (each powered with a 250-watt monoblock amp). These sound really, really good for the $65 or so I paid for them. NOTE: at first, they will sound too bright, but give them some break-in time... they do warm up. For bass, I kept one of my Diamond Audio amplifiers and am running it to a 10" Rockford Fosgate P3, shallow woofer in a small, sealed box. The setup sounds amazing for how little I have into it.

Good purchase
I really like these speakers. They replaced the stock Bose system in my car and these sound even better. I'm running them off an Alpine headunit (50w x 4) without an external amp and they sound great. This is a 2-way system with built in tweeters and crossovers. The tweeter is adjustable so you can somewhat aim them toward the listening area. They also include a treble boost button in case you need a little more than your radio puts out. Installation was fairly easy using the included universal adapter....the hardest part was removing the rear speaker deck! I love the Infinity brand (I have a 20 year old pair of home speakers still sound like new) and their dedication to quality. I compared these in-store to more expensive Polk's and I liked these better.

Great quality and smooth sound
I've had good luck with Infinity speakers in the past, and these were no exception. They are higher quality than some of the other Infinity components, have a very smooth sound, and reproduce accurately. The crossover is very smooth and the tweeter is not harsh sounding.

Would definitely recommend the Reference X Series speakers to anyone looking to ...
I purchased and installed 4 speakers to replace the original Infinity factory ones in a 2009 Kia Optima. The sound quality throughout is outstanding with using just the original head unit from Kia. I've been listening to music through Infinity speakers for about 10 years now. Would definitely recommend the Reference X Series speakers to anyone looking to upgrade sound quality in their vehicles.
