SCAT Imitation Questions for Grades 2-6: On the way to Talented Youth Education in the United States

It only contains math practice work. No English part for SCAT. It should be stated more clearly. Since we only needed the English vocabulary practice work, I sent it back to Amazon. It is still a three star because it could be a good workbook for math practice.

This workbook helps students to think math and practice math with the SCAT (School College Ability Test) format. One step after another, mixing more skills and harder operations, students can learn to think like a question giver or designer. The book contains only math practice! Even if you only pass the math of part of SCAT, you can still go to Johns Hopkins CTY for math and science courses!　Good luck for the exam!The answer key is revised and double checked. I am assuming this is dated material because not much of anything in this book appeared in my boys’ SCAT test. It was a waste of time and added a lot of frustration. The one thing that was helpful was that explained the test format. But you can get that info online.

First of all for the price of 16.99 I expected a real thick assessment book not a booklet of only a handful of tests.Second, nearly half of the answers are wrong!Amazon should really stop selling this until the publisher get this together! We are eturning it

Great to have practice questions to study from.

While I liked that this book provides practice for this type of math questions, I ended up having to figure out the answers for all questions myself to verify my 2nd grader’s work. The answer key is incorrect on many questions and does not provide any explanations for the answers.

There are 2 types of test questions in SCAT test: verbal and math. This book only contains the math part. It does not contain the verbal part which we need the most. There is no explanation in its description. Since I don't need the math part, I returned it.
