Modern Stone Grout Stain Color Seal - TEC Colors - 8oz (Sandstone Beige #961)

I used this product to darken the grout in a custom tile and stone fireplace surround that I made. The original grout I used was by Mapei and the color was supposed to be charcoal. It looked great when it was wet, however once it dried it looked just like a pale gray concrete with no contract to the tiles and stones. This grout sealer dried to a warm rich charcoal color...just what I wanted. It was a little too thick for my application with a 1/16th inch art brush, so I thinned the sealer with a little water. It soaked into the grout nicely. I wanted it to have a really natural look and it does. I highly recommend this product.

The Grout Stain Color Seal was excellent. It changed from dark black to a lovely cream.Picture shows Living room above with bedroom below interchanging contrast.I do not recommend a toothbrush as indicated. I would recommend a wire brush (mine was a coffee cleaner). By far much much more effective and easier.Note to owners: Include a wire brush as above (like the image) and, make the opening seal less tempted to get 'sealed' and you will have the perfect niche product.

First time doing this but I changed the white grout (with white tile) to light pewter and white tile - this product is so easy! Place on grout lines, wipe off with slightly damp sponge and white film off. Keep your sections small (think four or five grout lines at a time) and it is a breeze! Do NOT let it dry on your tiles, that is a different story! Love this stuff! Now the tile pattern pops and the contrast is amazing!

I needed a consistent grout color - even thought the kitchen is new, the grout appears uneven and no bleaching product really helped that. This stuff worked quite well. Coverage is good and required one application (about half the bottle did a 15 x 8 kitchen and half bath.Unfortunately the porcelain tile is textured (like a linen) and clean up was a PITA, not the product's fault. I would recommend doing a small amount and clean as you go with a damp cloth.

I'm on my second week of doing all of my tile. The tile and grout in my place is 22yo and it has been cleaned with grout cleaner. I went with ivory because I thought white was just too light. The ivory appears to have a slight yellow tint but it's all good. I hope it holds up for a long time! I've recommended this to my neighbors and they can't believe how good it looks.

Pics are before and after. We had our tile put in and the “dark brown” grout dried a very light gray color which was awful. I tried this product and highly recommend it!! So easy and quick to apply. Squirt it on and rub with a toothbrush. Make sure to wipe off any spills IMMEDIATELY. Dries quickly. It goes a long way so only buy the small bottle unless you are doing a LOT of rooms. We used expresso.

This worked great on refreshing the grout lines in our floor tile.It is easy to apply and covers very well. It made the tile lookbrand new. Highly recommend this. I chose the same coloras the old just to refresh.

I’ve used the one brand from Lowe’s and HD they are too sheer and runny - this is thick and covers well! I got the charcoal color. It’s very dark but not black! Love it!
