Pyrex7403-PC Red Sculptured Mixing Bowl Plastic Lid, Made in USA

I LOVE IT! This lid is also known as the Corning F-1-PC. It is a nice dark red. I think it is called poppy red. It's darker than many of the red Pyrex lids. It measures 8 15/16 inches in diameter. This lid fits perfectly on my CorningWare F 8 B pan, which is labelled as an 8 1/2 inch french white ceramic cake pan. The cake pan has a flange at the top, so the top of the pan actually measures 8 7/8 inches in diameter from outside edge to outside edge. This lid fits just perfectly on it, with a snappy seal. If you are looking to use this lid in an off-label use, this is it!Note 1: This lid is different than Pyrex's 323 PC 1.5 qt red mixing bowl lid, which is the lighter red color, and measures 8 5/8 in diameter. That lid does NOT fit the CorningWare F 8 B french white ceramic cake pan. It is a bit too small. Pyrex 323-PC Red Lid for 1.5-Quart (1.4L) Mixing Bowl Note 2: I also tried the white CorningWare FS-1-PC lid for the CorningWare F 8 B french white ceramic cake pan. The FS-1-PC lid measures 9 1/16 inches in diameter. It does go on, but it doesn't fit snugly nor does it seal like this Pyrex lid. The Pyrex lid is not only a better fit, it is thicker and has a nicer feel to it.Note 3: If you want an oven-worthy glass dome lid for the CorningWare F 8 B french white ceramic cake pan, the Pyrex 624 C lid fits it perfectly, as well. So it would probably fit many things the Pyrex 7403-PC/Corning F-1-PC lid fits.

Pyrex is usually top notch stuff. Ended up returning this one. NOT A THING wrong with it. Ordering it was an experiment just to see if it would fit a 9" Pyrex pie pate. No joy, so back it went. And that was easy and simple. Amazon is never a problem vis-a-vis returns.

The replacement cover is in fact a Pyrex cover made by Corning, the company that made the bowl and original cover. It fits just like the original cover fit about 20 years ago.

A mixing bowl without a plastic cover is not worth the space in your kitchen. This cover adds versatility to the use of my mixing bowl, keeps contents fresh and can store leftovers in refrigerator without messing with another container.

It fits just fine, I was looking for white but I actually like the red. We will see about the durability factor - I had to get a new lid because my last one cracked in a few different places on the lip and this was a replacement for that

Fit my bowl perfectly. I was glad I could get one to replace the one I had which had cracked after many years of use.

Good replacement lid for worn out old lid. Much better than having to replace entire set

This works great. It even attracted the original one I had that had been missing for 6 or 8 months. Lol. Guess I have to buy another bowl now.

Good replacement lid for my Pyrex glass bowl. Not quite as good as the original lid, I don’t think this one will last the 15 plus years the other did, but seems decent quality.

It was supposed to fit a 4quart bowl but way too big!
