Easy to move, holds well - watch your fingers, cuz it fastens TIGHT!
I've tried several of the stands that clip onto a table/bed, but none worked well - they damaged whatever they were attached to, wouldn't stay in place, and the springs would sag after a short time of use for a 9" tablet. This, however, is awesome. I can move it out of the way when making the bed, it sits far enough away from the bed that you don't have to worry about knocking into it while you sleep, it stays where you put it and is very adjustable. I miss the magnetic fastener as this one has a spring loaded holder, but it holds well and does the job - just don't get your fingers caught because it fastens tight! Have used bedside, for reading in chair or sofa, and as an extra screen holder for my desk - very versatile and well made. AAA++

Seller fixed my concern with a new and improved arm!
2nd update: seller sent me their newest version of the arm to test. It’s probably 4” longer on each section of the arm and has a couple other unneeded(imo) enhancements. It’s a bigger product now But it fits my needs and I’m very satisfied. Updated review: seller is going to send a part that will hopefully solve my problem. Great customer service! I’ll update stars and title when I get it and it works!Great product. One challenge I have, however, is that one of the arms will extend fully but will absolutely not stay extended. There are several adjuster knobs on this device but not one for this location. I may have to return it as I currently have to hold the device to bring it close enough to me.

Pinched Fingers
I love this thing so much. This stand is 100% worth the money I spent. I’ve had it for a few months now and I use it all the time. The common complaints I’ve seen about its sturdiness and tipping over only happens if the arm isn’t parallel to the base. If the base is one direction and the arm is the other then it tends to tip but as long as both pieces are the same direction you’ll be ok. My only real issue with this stand has to do with the design of the piece that holds my kindle. The hold is tight and definitely won’t drop anything. I will say it is very hard and awkward to spread the grip apart because there is barely a lip or anywhere to hold it so your fingers won’t get pinched. If there was a better way to open the holder while keeping my fingers out of harms way from the super strong springs it would’ve gotten 5 stars. That one slight design flaw is the only reason it got 4 stars instead.

Very well made and sturdy
Astounding how well made this is. Hubby was floored at the engineering for the cost. I got it for reading on my tablet in bed. After I fell asleep and my tablet dropped giving me a black eye, I needed something. This more than fits the bill. It's very adjustable and very sturdy. If you need to swing it in a way where the tablet isn't over the base, then put a weight on the base. The instructions suggest that, but I haven't had a problem with it.It has 4 adjustment and tightening points. Make sure to loosen when you move an arm and tighten again. That'll save wear on the joints. The only drawback for me is that I had to take my tablet out of its case. Because of the way the case is made, the holder only held onto the case's sides and the table flipped forward. Not a deal breaker at all, but something to be aware of.

Great item!
I got this because I'm a soon to be mom & moving this around instead of unscrewing the one I have attached to a table seemed easier. I have had it for a day, and I absolutely love it. It holds my kindle super well, seems to be heavy duty, and allows me to move it easily to wherever I want to go in the house. Very good quality, and I actually like this one better than my old one.

Ball joint doesn’t move (updated review)
The media could not be loaded. The ball joint doesn’t move despite being advertised as being able to move. It really limits the rotation ability and I’m not able to set it at the angle I want.UPDATE BELOWSeller reached out to me that they could send a replacement ball joint and I agreed. Seller responded that they instead sent a new one since they don’t have the separate part, so I thought that was nice. However when the new one came in the mail, what was sent seemed to be totally different, not just an updated ball joint. What came in the package was an arm, a clamp for a tablet, and a base that can clamp on the side of furniture (not a stand like the original design). The arm was longer in length, and the clamp for the tablet was wider, so the measurements are different than what is advertised in the description. At first I tried to use the new arm with the old stand base as I thought this was more of a replacement, but when I attached the new arm to the old stand, it was not stable bc the new arm end piece was thinner than the old arm end piece. And even when tightening the screw, the neck was wobbly due to the size difference in the diameter of the ends. I attached a video showing the new arm in the old stand. The new arm was much longer than the old arm which created some balance issues with the old base, it was more prone to tipping over. But that’s easily remedied by just bending the arm more to make it shorter in length and stick out less horizontallyAnother difference was the width of the clamp piece that holds your tablet. The original one is advertised as holding a tablet as small as 4.7 inches in width, which is perfect for me as I use this for my kindle. The new one however was about 5.5 inches at its shortest width, which is too big to hold my kindle, so I’m not able to use it. I tried clamping it vertically so that the clamped part was the top and bottom of my kindle but even then it didn’t fit securely in there because of my kindle case (which is not the fault of the product), my kindle would pop out. But the original clamp on the original stand was able to hold my kindle just fine even with the case on it due to the depth being a little deeper in that clip version.I did try using the old clamp with the new arm just by popping them easily on the opposite ball joints and was able to do that and both fit well.So if I wanted to, I could use the old clamp with the new arm (with the new ball joint), and the new clip on base. But the only place I can clamp it on is my headboard. I bought the original stand because it was a stand and was therefore more easily portable to whatever part of the house I wanted to use it.By itself, the new version they sent me would work well for someone that wished to clamp their tablet holder onto a piece of furniture and had a larger tablet to hold. It feels sturdy. It just isn’t what I was looking for portability wise and too large for my kindle. I also don’t understand why they sent a completely different version compared to what was advertised in the product description, as the product description is why I bought the thing in the first place.I’ll add one star to my previous review because they reached out to me twice to try and remedy things. First was after I posted my review asking if I wanted a refund, but I didn’t feel right accepting that because I was still going to use the original product even with the defective ball joint. They later reached out to me again saying they have a new ball joint to fix my problem and asked if I wanted it sent to me. So support seems good, but my original problem stays the same, but that’s fine as I can still use the stand with the defective ball joint.

Using for playing music
I ordered this as a stand to hold my iPad when I’m playing music. I was a bit skeptical because it was advertised as for reading in bed.It works out fine for my needs and I am pleased with the quality for the price point. Bonus… same day delivery, Wow!!
