Easy install. Gasket and studs included but you’ll have to reuse the nuts and barrel nut. After initial setup, it fired right up. I couldn’t get it to idle without keeping my foot on the gas. I decided to change the main jet from 120 to 130 and the idle jet from 50 to 55. Fired right up, held at idle and took it for a quick drive. Seems fine. We’ll see how it holds up on a longer drive.

I have a 1969 with a 1964 engine (12v) and an alternator installed. The dual port adapter comes off and fit perfectly, the threads for the adapter bolts are the same as the ones needed to secure the carb so if you are missing them it will still work out for you. I tuned it all before putting it on and after fixing a timing issue, the beetle is running like a dream! There is a bit of backfire in second, but I left the aftermarket jets in, throwing the original jets in should fix that.

Bolted right on no problem for my 72 bug

Worked well in my Volkswagen bug and it was a good deal
