The chair is weighted for 400 pounds, but even though I am over 100 pounds under that it still broke after 6 months. I do wear heavily on chairs as I spend most of my time leaning back in them and shifting my weight, and am rather tall. The chair broke where the bolt hole connected to the seat, the steel snapped. Probably just cheap steel, as it was plenty thick.As far as comfort goes before it broke it was great. The foam is comfortable still, it doesn't seem to have degraded. I have used it for extended periods of time and not had any issues with comfort. The arms are a little short compared to other office chairs. I'd say if you are more in the 100-250 pound range or spend most of your time upright it'll probably be fine.

Comfy chair for my writer life. Easy set up, although at first intimidating with all the pieces. Ample space to add pillows but comfort level is just fine for me. Helps me sit up straight, too, so no complaints. Only thing that bugged me was shipping, which I overlooked at checkout. It came from Cali and took 8 days to arrive to my East Coast residence.Update: This is maybe the best investment I've made all year. My boyfriend hogs the chair mostly now but it's really comfortable and we both end up sitting in it for hours and hours. Definitely recommend it!

I found this chair as an Amazon Marketplace find. It's modern, tall-backed, not made of mesh, the style was great looking and I really wanted to have a small couch for me computer desk - unfortunately after ordering the warehouse wasn't able to locate it and canceled the order. It broke my heart.I looked for more chairs to replace my failing broken one, and managed to find the exact same chair on this listing by chance. I almost lost it when I didn't save the link and had to spend hours trying to find the listing again. I was so in love with this chair for the price that it was worth the time searching for it again.A phone call to Amazon got the price matched between the chair I bought and the chair that was in the canceled order. For almost $100 this is an excellent chair. Tilt, full back, modern style, arms, firm but padded, and a seat that is comfortable on my sore knees. Very easy to put together, about 15 minute job for a single person.Super pleased with this purchase. Since it's brand new, I can't comment of longevity, but the few reviews I have seen have been stellar and no one has come forward to complain about quality (which this chair definitely feels quality). If there are any problems in the future I will definitely update and let people know. But for now I am very impressed with what I received for the cost - blows my mind that I got this for a touch under $100
