Primus Classic Trail Stove

I REALLY like this stove! I've used it for backpacking for about a year and a half with no issues at all with it. It makes a good sized flame--I can boil water in just a few minutes. Universal fuel is now too expensive and readily available. It is SUPER lightweight, there's hardly anything to the thing. Adjustable flame is a nice feature, and it does that well. Comes in a heavy-duty little bag that I store a couple lighters in. Wind doesn't effect the flame too badly. Would definitely buy again.

I backpacking a few times per year for 3-7 days at a time and really love this little stove. I live in CA and hike in the Sierras. I had used the MSR white gas stove for years and this is just so much easier and I feel predictable. I think unless you are doing extreme hiking, such in very cold temperatures this stove is all you need and it fits right in my pot set.

product is not the newest and lightest available but is perfect for fixing a quick meal on the trail. It works well even in cold weather and in wind, boils water quickly and fries well using small fry pan. It is the 'classic trail stove' in deed.

Light weight, good heat adjustment, quick lighting......great little stove for backpacking. Buying the larger fuel cannister is the way to go with this stove as it gives more base weight. This really helped with larger cooking pots. Good buy!

I looked at several of these types of stoves looking for a decent one at a good price. This one is it. It has a large burner, which makes a big difference in how the heat is distributed while cooking. The design using the large based gas canister is stable. Easy to light and adjust the flame. It's a great value.

Not as light or as cool as other$ but it does the job it's meant to do. One fuel canister similar to the size pictured lasted for a 9-day backpacking trip...with a bit to spare.

Worked like a charm on our 4-day camping trip in the backcountry of Isle Royale. Able to use different brands of fuel which is nice. Price is very reasonable.
