This an assumption that they are much brighter than the old florescent lights, but the tube holder was not wired to accept these bulbs and work. The power and neutral are on the same end with these tubes, but my holder has power on one end and neutral on the other and no way to rewire the holder. So I went with a new lamp with bulbs implanted and modified the lamp to hold the original covers.

So far so good, after 2 months of closet (quick off/on) use both bulbs are performing as expected. Light seems to be just as adequate as the florescent bulbs these replaced.

Failed to light on install. I have installed a lot of led tube lights so I know it isn't me and verified power to the receptacles.

I rewired an older T12 fixture to use these single-end bulbs. Very straightforward conversion, very good amount of light for my pantry. Only disadvantage is the light distribution is only 180 degrees, so I don't get full coverage in the closet.
