Retriderm Max 1 Percent Retinol Serum

This is a really effective product, particularly if you have acne scars or areas of bumpy skin. My dermatologist recommended the Retriderm brand and it’s the best retinol I’ve tried by far. It’s expensive, but good value from this seller and a bottle lasts for months if used on the face once a day. If you’re not used to retinol its best to apply on alternate days at first, or you might find that the dead skin peels off your face in a more dramatic way than you bargained for, making you look like an unravelling mummy. Sun screen is vital every day, even if you only apply the serum at night, as your skin will burn much more easily whilst using it and you don’t want to undo all the retinol’s good work.

This product ravaged my skin, I used as recommended but it really damaged my face. My eyes started watering and went puffy and my skin was like snake scales :( The damage was not permanent, I managed to get my skin back to normal with pure organic shea butter and cleansing and derma roller. I have used 1% before and usually buy SkinCeuticals but it was over £100 for a tiny bottle so I tried this one. I guess it works for some people but certainly not for me. I went back to purchase SkinCeuticals 0.3 because that was all I could find online. I still have most of the bottle left. I only used a tiny amount over a week. Never again.

This product is amazing! My wrinkles are visably smaller and my skin is glowing. The product is very stronge so if you have sensitive skin you might not be able to use this every night. My face is fine but my neck is very red. So I am giving my neck a break from it for a few days. I have just re-ordered my second of these because I don't won't to be without it for a day. But I didn't need to worry because I ordered it yesterday at 4.30pm on standard delivery and it was delivered this morning by 10.30am. Fantastic service. Thank you.

I would recommend anyone who's new to Retinol to start at the lowest %. I started using this right off the bat and it did give me quite a reaction. You need to ease into retinol. I can tell it's potent and it helps with skin renewal. If you're new try using it once a week then alternate days. Be warned it will make you peel quite a bit.

Excellent product. I have been using this strength for about 8 months after progressing up from the 0.5. I feel that it is helping to give my skin clarity and smoothness. It may take a few weeks to establish a tolerance but you must bear with it. Expect some redness and sensitivity at first and remember to use a high strength sun screen during the day. I find the Heliocare range of sunscreens are an excellent compliment.

I’ve only used this once and after putting it on felt no tingle so thought it was fine. However over the course of a few days my skins became red and flaky and quite sore. A bit worried about continuing on, wish I’d gone for the .5% instead🙁

I think I have been fooled. !% retinol??? This is a fraud! I use different kinds of retinol products on a regular basis, also strong retinol products like this one is supposed to be. But I always take a break of 3-4 weeks between each time so when I start again I ALWAYS get this tingeling sensation in the skin wchich gets a little warm and red as expected and desired with real retinolproducts. There was absolutely NO sensation of ANY kind. Might as well have used cream cheese.Don't buy it!

It works! I used to use the 0.5% but didn't notice any difference so switched to the 1% and can really tell - my skin is brighter & younger looking. I only use it 3 x a week as my skin started to flake ... which means it's working I guess. Definitely sticking with it, recommended
